These are almost exactly as advertised. The items picture shows all four wheels having locks, but only two of them do. It locks well with only having two locking wheels. This is not an issue. it is steady using the wheels. Of course, always put heavier items toward the bottom. I wish this came in a chrome option for this size. The assembly is easy and fast. Assembly instructions are included. I like that you have the option for standard feet or wheels. This item could be used as light-duty garage shelves or inside shelves. I've included pictures to see how functional this piece is and how you can easily adjust the shelves when assembling to fit common household items such as towels, full size mixer and sewing machine, laundry basket, all laundry products, and more. You still have room on top with a standard ceiling ceiling. I included the washer/dryer for size perspective. This is an overall great set of affordable shelves. Read more

Nice sturdy shelf. I’m using it on the back wall of my pantry to hold extra small appliances and mixing bowls. Not as sturdy as some but it holds my kitchen aid stand mixer and cuisinart with no problems. Read more

The directions were not that great but we were able to put together. There was no list of parts in the package but all pieces were there in small sealed bags and the side posts were tied down nicely. The snall black sleeves are well marked for putting them together. However, the small black plastic sleeves did not readily 'snap' together into the post grooves - half of the sleeves didn't even close completely around the posts but we put them on as tightly as possible (one side was closed & the other side would not close completely). We continued on and placed the shelf on as directed but most of the black sleeves kept slipping down the posts when we tried to secure/slide the shelf on top of them. We had to hold the black sleeves in place with one hand and push the shelf over the black sleeves ... this was hard but as we did this we felt, we heard/felt a 'CLICK' so we knew that the black sleeve & shelf were secure. This is not mentioned in the directions and this was the difficult part. We had to figure out for ourselves that when we heard and felt the 'click' that the shelf and sleeve were secure. We had a rubber mallet which was the final touch after we were sure that the shelf and sleeve were appropriately aligned. We just tapped the shelf lightly with the mallet and heard/felt the 'click'. The cart is NOT wobbly and the wheels work very nicely. I have fairly heavy craft materials stored on each shelf. I believe it is a good price for the unit. It moves very nicely on rugs as well which is important for my use. Now that we are 'experienced' in building this cart, I would definitely purchase another :-) Read more

I bought the black 3 shelf with wheels. It also comes with stationary feet that are adjustable for leveling. Just unscrew the stationary feet and screw in the rolling feet. In my photo you’ll see an old wooden tv tray next to the new stand for reference. Also in the photos you’ll see the measurements of mine. It’s a near perfect 24” edge to edge. With the shelves and legs in place there is a 22” clearance. Yes, the wheels are very cheap but mine rolls just fine. That monitor I have on the bottom shelf is extremely heavy for me. It feels like 40lb. That’s why I wanted this on wheels. The machine on top isn’t light either but not as heavy. I’d say 30lbs. The cart rolls just fine over the thin carpet and hardwood floor underneath. There’s no issue with the bottom shelf at all. The monitor is stable. The machine on the top shelf is tall so it concentrates the weight in the center of the shelf. There is definitely “give” or flexibility when I take the machine off . I plan to purchase a piece of plywood to fit and paint it black. It may not be necessary but I feel it will prevent it from bowing in the center. It may not bow at all but I’d rather play it safe. I’m very pleased with this purchase. You can put the shelves in any position you want. I’d buy it again. It was so easy to assemble. Seriously like 10minutes. It went like this…unscrew feet and screw in wheels, screw in 4 posts, put on plastic sleeves at the desired position of the shelves (top up-don’t worry they are marked), put bottom shelf on and tap with rubber mallet. Repeat for other shelves. That’s it! My directions came with pictures and text but I didn’t even use them except for brief reference for the sleeves. Oh, and by the way, I bought USED LIKE NEW. It was brand new. No signs of wear. The package of wheels was opened but they were all there. Everything else was in the original packaging. Happy girl here! Read more

Decent deal for the price. Is it really "Heavy Duty"? I'm going with not so much, but it's adequate for my needs. It may look like it's made of more robust material in the photo(s), but this is not the same as the commercial Metro shelving I'm familiar with from years ago, or even the kind I've purchased from IKEA.
