I chose the Pooh Simply Modern 40oz cup, and it is, in my opinion, super cute, hence why I bought it. Most importantly for me, it keeps the water cold for a long period of time. How cold does it last you may be wondering? Well, I started an experiment at 1:30pm Monday, May 12th. I put an inordinate amount of large ice spheres in my cup because I like my water super cold; I live in a hot place I like cold drinks. Anyways, at 1am Wednesday morning, May 14th, which is about 34 hours later, I realized I hadn’t had a sip of water in a while and I grab my cup with Pooh ;-). You want to know what I discovered? This beautiful magnificent cup still had ice in it. Now you may be thinking, “Sarah, you could have added more ice to it” or “Sarah, did you not hydrate for 34 hours?” And the answer for the first question is, no. I did not add any extra ice because I wanted to see how long it lasted. As for the second question, yes I did stay hydrated, I refilled my cup with water quite a lot these last two days, thank you. However, after I woke up later this same day as it is currently still Wednesday, my ice has finally all melted. In conclusion; the ice lasting that long is truly amazing and if you like Disney, Harry Potter, or Wicked, get these cups because it’s a great size, it has a handle, it fits in cup holders, and it stays cold longer than some celebrities marriages. I bought this Mickey Mouse Dances as soon as it came back in stock. it truly is super cute and classy. I love everything about this tumbler. The handle feels great in my hand - very solid, sturdy, and feels extremely comfortable (it has the best feel comparing with other 40 oz tumblers). The lid is amazingly easy to screw on and off with a simple 1/4 turn. I know that some complaint about it's hard to have a good grip while turning due to the thinness of the lid for grip, but I do not find that to be an issue at all. Just make sure that your hand is not greasy or oily to start with. I actually find the lid to be one of the easiest to turn on and off! I love the simple sleek look, which looks a lot smaller or skinnier than other 40 oz tumblers. Even though it looks a lot skinnier than other 40 oz tumblers, it does not compromise on how long the water will stay cold. The lid is actually very thick and provides a vacuum-like seal once screwed on, so do not fill your water all the way up to just below the screw markings or the pressure will push some water out off the straw hole (even though that hole is very tight after inserting the straw). That is the only issue that I discovered. But, that is also a good thing because I know that the seal is great! Water will not leak out no matter how you hold the tumbler, but water will leak out through the top of the open straw unless you have a straw cover. The only thing that I wish this tumbler has is a non-slip rubber bottom like the Corkcicle brand that I own. I know that Simple Modern sells "booties" for their tumblers, but a bootie would compromise on the sleek look, so a hidden rubber bottom would be the best. All in all, I love this 40 0z tumbler!!! I bought this for my best friend for Christmas bc she loves Harry Potter and this company was the one to carry this group within the movie and almost a year later it's still her favorite.
