The sound is a big improvement over a plastic earjack I used for decades w/ transistor radios and TVs. My problem is that the earbud doesn't fit very easily into my ear, which apparently has a narrow opening (I've been told that before). I turned the rubber end of the earbud kinda inside out and it fit much better, but still tends to come loose at times. If your ear is normal you probably won't have a problem.
