Sirius XM Onyx EZ radio - Radio only no accessories

My old XM/Sirius brain controller finally crapped out (6 years). This one plugged right into my XM boombox and a remote docking port and the price was great! Shipped super fast and well packaged! Works great and is a newer model too. The only hassle I had was when I had to call the overseas XM/Sirius customer service to get the old unit turned off and this new system turned on. If you have ever dealt with the overseas customer service folks for XM/Sirus you have felt the pain. Just be prepared for a "up-sale" on the level of a greasy used car salesman with sardine breath. Nothing fancy here, but I'm happy with this purchase . While haven't really taken a lot of time to familiarize myself with this unit , I found that it works perfectly . I purchased two much higher-priced units different than this in the last two years and neither performed well in both went effective within a year . This was priced very reasonable and I hope to have better luck with this . Read more

What I liked about this product that it works very well as long as you don't use it in a portable docking station. The docking stations are no good. But I use this radio in my car without any problems. Read more

A nice basic unit. I do not like that it needs to be on a dock because it sticks out from the dash too far for my taste. The screen is easy to read and brightness can be adjusted down for night driving. It would be nice if it had a dimming sensor but that might be an option on a more expensive unit. XM service was spotty. I had a problem getting signal and was supposed to get a refund. It took a second call to get refund and was given the hard sell rather than be allowed to cxl. One other complaint is that I have a really hard time finding a clear static free FM channel. I run mine through the aux in and still get a little feedback whine. Could be my stereo tho.
