I really like this Portable Dock for our Sirius radio. Speakers produce excellent sound, and the whole setup makes using Sirius in the home so much easier. The one aspect that can cause some trouble is the antenna, which has a long cable, but has to be placed in such a way as to get the best signal (from satellite). When you do establish that connection, the performance will be great, but be prepared for a bit of a challenge mounting the antenna in a convenient, yet easily accessible location. Read more

My elderly mother lives out in the country and watches only one news channel. She lives on a fixed income so when the satellite TV provider jacked up her monthly rate we decided to look for alternatives. She technically only listens to the news more than watches because she is busy working on crocheting or crossword puzzles most of the time. I did a lot of research and found this setup and ordered with some concerns. Amazon delivered it on time and the setup at my house was quick and easy. I just added it to my account with no issues. Now the real test was taking it out to where mom lives. Her house is on the side a big wooded hillside with the sunroom on the back of the house . Could I get a good connection to the satellite? Would the hill and trees make the connection difficult? I placed the unit on the chair side table, plugged it in and set the antenna on the windowsill and it worked perfectly! Together we preset several news and music channels and she couldn’t be happier! Ordered this for Christmas, radio wouldn't connect to my Sirius account. After several hours of troubleshooting with Sirius tech, they determined the radio was defective. They sent me a replacement, but it was refurbished. We tried to use it, acted the same as the last one. Another several hours with Sirius tech and he called this one bad and wanted to replace it again. That's when I said forget it, I'll return to Amazon because by now my return window was getting ready to close. I don't know what the problem is with this setup, but it was the worst experience I have ever had with Sirius. We have had 3 lifetime subscriptions for many years, so not new to the game. The incompetence of the tech team (until I finally got the secret number to the special case group) is amazing. Typical off shore, hard to understand, scripted "tech assistance".
