Cute, but not as soft or plush as expected
The design of this sweater is adorable, perfect for Valentine’s Day with its heart and cherry pattern. The color in my photo is pretty accurate; it’s more of a true/slightly deeper red than the deeper maroon shown in the listing. It looks cute on, but the material itself isn’t as soft, plush, or cozy as the photos make it appear. It’s actually quite thin and has very little stretch. The cuffs and waistband aren’t fitted, so it hangs more loosely than expected. It’s also a bit stiff right out of the package, and even after a couple of days, the wrinkles haven’t fully relaxed. I did size up to a Large to try to achieve an oversized look as demonstrated in the product pictures... but it fell short of the plan. I am 150lb, 5'10". I normally wear a M, I did move up to a large. I do have long arms, but the cuffs of this sweater just barely barely reach my wrist. Also, Im assuming you could wear this either way, there is no tag in the neck to show front vs back. It’s still a cute sweater overall, especially layered over another top, but it’s definitely more of a $20-quality sweater than a $30 one. The pattern is what really makes it charming — just don’t expect it to be a super soft, luxurious knit, or long in the arms as pictured (if you're a tall one like me). Read more
