Skechers Steering Wheel Cover Max Cushioning Leather Steering Wheel Cover Universal Fit 14 1 2-15 Car Wheel Protector

When you've driven the same car for 20 years, you wouldn't think that getting a different car with a 14.5" steering wheel instead of 15" would make that much of a difference. But, between the smaller steering wheel's diameter, the harder material of the steering wheel itself, and the much tighter turning radius of the car's suspension, the difference was actually substantial. Thankfully, this steering wheel cover was the perfect solution. It was challenging to put on and then to take back off to readjust it ... so it would work best on a 14" or 14.5" wheel. I wouldn't recommend it on a 15" wheel. But, the installation challenges did demonstrate the durability of the materials and then how well it fit once finally in place. So, the 14.5" wheel may be the ideal and, while easier to install on, it may be loose on the 14" wheel. What I like the most and why I chose the Skechers brand is the feel and cushioning of the material. I drive a lot and the harder steering wheel material ... combined with the smaller overall size ... had actually hurt my fingers because I felt I had to grip the wheel tighter and that it then had less give. By comparison, with the Skechers cover in place, not only does the wheel feel much more substantial but that I can have a much more relaxed grip just due to the anti-skid features of the material. That I can just rest the wheel across the insides of my fingers and then rest my thumbs on the outside of the wheel and have perfect control over its movement without having to squeeze the wheel. This actually makes it a lot easier and more relaxed to drive than my old car which, over time, did wind up with thumb-sized indentations in the hard foam material from having to squeeze the wheel. That's where I like the added bulkiness that it added. More grip surface leading to less grip force being necessary. Also, with how cold it's been this winter, it was nice to not need ... even briefly ... to have to drive with gloves on. The material never felt cold to the touch even when I first got into the car to turn it on to warm it up. So, I'm hoping the same will be true when summer time comes along and that it won't be hot to the touch like my old black leather seats had been. Initial impression is really good. Looks exactly as pictured. Materials seem durable and fit and finish construction is also good. Installed in Mazda CX5 and fits perfectly. I have long fingers so it does not feel too thick for me, your experience may vary. Cushioning is not as "max" as I hoped for. Maybe I will notice it more once I actually drive. Hope it smoothes out the engine/road vibrations a little bit. Read more

Bought this steering wheel cover for my 2025 Ford Maverick on 2/20/26. It fits the steering wheel nicely, no moving around while driving. Material feels nice, cool to the touch and looks luxurious. However, it's quite bulky so anyone with small hands might feel more fatigue driving with this on than not. Additionally, it's slippery as well. I usually turn and park using 1 hand with palm technique but haven't been able to do with this cover on. I would give it a 3.5/5. Read more

Very comfortable and nice looking- the emblem did peel off after a few days of driving but did not affect the quality of the product, it’s just kind of adhered on so when it peeled off, it did not cause any damage. It’s just not there anymore and you can’t tell it was over there… this would be nice for a person who has a hard time gripping because it’s wide and cushy so easy to hold onto when you turn the wheel..
