I actually got these for a ninja costume and they worked great. Are very light, breathable and stretchy. I am not sure of the material but it is very soft and pleasant to wear. It provides some insulation, but nothing major. I would not recommend it for very cold climates, I do not think it would suffice. I only wore it the one time, but I had it on all night and I found it to be comfortable. The way the fact mask part is, you can pull it down and keep the hood on. I got these for my 10 and 13 year olds for the sole purpose of ninja cosplaying. They actually fit better than I expected, so that means they are probably small for adults. The product photos show sort of a fitted neck with almost a ninja-like style but the reality is that this is like a loose hood. It does not look good at all, very goofy. Not particularly warm, very thin fabric, only really good as a sun blocker. Definitely feels cheap. At least it doesn't feel too bad to wear, although I imagine on a ski hill you wouldn't love all the loose fabric flapping around. Read more
I'm not sure what I got, but it's definitely not what was advertised. The quality is cheap and the material is very thin. I can easily see through it. Yes, it does stretch, but the fit is also off. It's tight around the face and neck, as it presses against the tip my nose, smooshing it, making it uncomfortable to wear. Honestly, it would make a better costume accessory for a kid.
