I love it when you find the perfect product for your needs and it exceeds all expectations! These balms are outstanding. They glide on smoothly and soothe dry lips immediately with real ingredients, not trash like all the big companies. You can smell the peppermint oil and it gives a little tingle- but does not burn. I am very picky about balm- but these are just wonderful, maybe the best I’ve ever tried and I frequently order homemade balms. Now for the colors- The Shimmer one is gorgeous. Very pretty and noticeable. Champagne is just a touch of color. Very natural. Plum is a nice wash of color that can still pass for a real lip color. Raisin gives you some nice deep color that can be layered for deeper effect. I am very fair skinned and all of these work for me. Both Shimmer and Champagne could work on a guy without looking like a cosmetic. I’m going to be checking out Sky Organics to see what else they have, because I am LOVING these balms. I know it’s a little silly to get so excited over lip balm, but it’s the dead of winter, my lips are so dry and chapped and nothing was giving me relief. From the moment I applied the first one my lips took on a new texture and looked better only minutes after application. Now a few hours later they feel nourished and smooth. This is a total win and I will be reordering!!!!! Read more

Are you one of the thousands of natural-cosmetics fans who showed Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer's popular "Cocoa" shade years of loyal love -- only to feel sucker-punched when Burt's Bees discontinued "Cocoa" for well over a year, stubbornly refusing to reinstate or replace it with a similar hue for brown colorway fans and the many black-, brown-, or tan-skinned customers for whom "Cocoa" was Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer's only truly 'Nude,' 'Neutral,' or 'Flesh-Toned' shade? If so, then you might find that "Sky Organics Raisin Tinted Lip Balm" – whose 4-pack I discovered via the social media posts of eco-minded fashionistas left stranded during the year or so that Burt's Bees Cocoa Lip Shimmer was discontinued -- is both a great alternative and a superior product in its own right. That "Sky Organics Raisin Tinted Lip Balm" boasts natural ingredients and a lovely brown shade -- one rich yet sheer enough to compliment a wide range of skin tones -- makes the product a great one-to-one replacement for Burt's Bees Cocoa Lip Shimmer. However, IMHO, "Sky Organics Raisin Tinted Lip Balm" also surpasses the quality of Burt's Bees Cocoa Lip Shimmer -- in that it contains peppermint oil in proportions that invigorate lips without irritating them (per the peppermint-oil-related irritation that some Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer users report online); is even more long-wearing than Burt's Bees Cocoa Lip Shimmer without feeling heavy; and doesn't become gummy on the lips over time, as Burt's Bees Cocoa Lip Shimmer often did for me after several hours of workday wear. And if you periodically suffer from hormone-related angular cheilitis, "Sky Organics Raisin Tinted Lip Balm" might be an especially useful alternative -- or at least it has been for me. Indeed, while I found that Burt's Bees Cocoa Lip Shimmer often exacerbated the stress-induced angular cheilitis that monthly hormonal changes brought as I entered perimenopause -- so much so that my physician recommended that I stop using the unexpired Burt's Bees Cocoa Lip Shimmer I’d stockpiled before it was discontinued -- I've had no such problems with "Sky Organics Raisin Tinted Lip Balm," even during hormonal shifts and lip-shredding Great Lakes winters. Score! That "Sky Organics Raisin Tinted Lip Balm" brings all these goodies to the table while costing less for a 4-pack than the retail price of just 2 tubes of Burt's Bees Cocoa Lip Shimmer seals the deal for me. Thus, although I hear that Burt’s Bees recently bowed to over a year of customer outcry and resurrected Burt's Bees Cocoa Lip Shimmer from its ‘discontinued’ list, I’m happy to stay put with "Sky Organics Raisin Tinted Lip Balm." I’ve found it to be a superior product that just plain works better for me. YMMV. Read more

Love these balms. Been using for years. Very smooth and hydrating. Most have a mild scent, with very little flavor. Except for the Eucalyptus Mint...it's horribly over scented. It's unusable. Way too strong. It's annoying to have to throw away one out of every package. Especially when they aren't large and aren't completely filled, and you can't get the last 1/2 inch out unless you dig it out. Give us a choice please...go back to the 4 packs of all one flavor. Or just give us an option without mint. Many people have allergies and sensitivity to mint. Read more

I'm not really a lip balm junkie, but after trying these I think that might just change. Normally I get carmex from the store either in tube or the tub if I can ever find it and am happy with that year round. My skin is dry so my lips also get very dry and itch. The feeling of dry itchiness on my lips is not pleasant and only carmex can make it stop. I've tried Burt's brand, blistex, eos, and a few beeswax or natural balms that did nothing but make it worse. I don't wear lipstick but carry a tube of carmex with me everywhere I go and keep extras around the house for when I need them. Until... A short while back I came across this lip balm while randomly searching makeup and after reading all the wonderful reviews I figured why not try it? I figured if it didn't work out, at least I could give them away to friends and family. Yeah that didn't happen. I tried one and right away had to sample the rest of them... Just because the first one smelled and felt so good on my lips that I couldn't resist trying them all. Now I am on my second order, not because I've run out or lost one but because I am hooked and don't want to be without. I'm actually starting a small hoard of these to keep on hand in case I do lose one or need a nice little gift for someone. These lip balms are simply amazing. They are super soft, leave your lips smooth and after applying once you don't really need to reapply again for a while. I usually can't help myself and I apply often, mostly because that's what I needed to do with carmex. These are moisturizing and lightly scented so everybody can enjoy them. There is no color or gloss look when applied, just smooth lips. I'd highly recommend these and also buying extra for yourself because they are addicting. Read more
