I bought this device to hide the messy connection of multiple string lights near my Christmas trees. Now all it can be seen is the nice smooth socket cover, and the rats nest of wiring is now hidden beneath the tree skirt. Also, because the trees are on the right hand side of that outlet, which is mounted sideways on my baseboard, I needed the inverted model to read the outlet while covering the wires.
