Pillows are very subjective, as we all have a different idea of what is comfortable. Keeping that in mind, my wife and I both found these to be the best memory foam pillows we tried, including a couple of different Tempurpedic styles. This is softer than any of those, and is somewhat smaller. That's good, because it fits in our Marimekko pillowcases perfecty. We found the older standard pillow size of 16" x 22-24" is not as easily found in pillows today - most are 20" x 25" (did people's heads get bigger?). The pillow is, in our opinion, good for stomach sleepers (partially me) and side sleepers (my wife). I also sleep on my back and found this pillow doesn't push my head forward, allowing better breathing and keeping my spine straighter. Anyone who has had a slipped disc should appreciate that. As others have said, this pillow is somewhat thinner. I find that to be a benefit, but for those of you that prefer big fluffy pillows, you should consider something else. Read more
I have had this product for more than 2 years now. I travel very little so that means more than 700 nights of sleep on this little baby. I sleep like a dream. The product is just firm enough to provide adequate support for my noggin... while being soft enough that it will sink in a bit when i first put my head down for the night. After 24 months, I can say, there is NO deterioration of the material, no change in shape, no dents or areas of sagging. It's the same shape and the same density since day, er night, one. I recommend at up to $40. I paid about $32 for this. The king size is very long, two of these will go the distance on your king size bed, end to end. I really, really like this product. I bought two of these as well as two other Sleep Innovations types, all from Amazon and two of each of those also. I immediately noticed that all of them no longer had Sleep Innovations tags on them, rather Innocor tags. At first I didn't question this and proceeded to attempt to use all six but hated all of them, especially these. I then had Amazon initiate an email to the company. When I finally got a response with really no real answers as to why these Sleep Innovations pillows had failed to meet my expectations, I immediately noticed that the return email had come from "Innocor" (not Sleep Innovations), so I immediately asked the company why. After my having asked three different times in three separate emails, they finally told me they were now the new owner of Sleep Innovations which is precisely why so many reviewers complain that the pillow is so very different from their previous purchases of the past. Regardless, at least I finally had partial answers to my questions and concerns, so I returned these two but chose to keep the other four in hopes that they might eventually work out, which they never did no matter how many times I tried. These particular two were horribly thin yet heavy and just laid there like flat logs... just slabs of dense foam!!! This explains why so many other reviewers that had bought this same pilow in the past all found it to be nothing like it had originally been. I'm glad I snapped soon enough and returned these two at least and wish I had done the same with the other four. What a waste of money, but worse, a total waste of time ordering them, trying my best to make them work out, then finally repackaging them for return. I like this pillow,I don't know if I can say love but I do like this pillow. I am a stomach/side sleeper and I simply can't really sleep on my back,not because of health reasons but because I just don't find it all that comfortable. The pillow is listed as being for stomach/side sleepers and that's what attracted me to this pillow to begin with. I did a bit of research after my other pillow (also purchased here on Amazon) started giving me neck aches/cramps. The research that I came up with is that stomach sleepers need a pillow that's closer to the mattress,in other words a pillow that's not all that high in terms of inches in height. The reason for this is because when you're sleeping on your stomach, your head and spine need to be aligned and if a pillow is too high up it's going to disrupt that alignment and the result will be neckaches,headaches etc.,definitely not a good thing to say the least. I can't say for sure if this pillow will work for you or not,everyone is different. However, I can say that I've slept on it for about 2 weeks or so now and my neck has been just fine. The pillow is a bit on the hard side but it's not all that hard,although I wish it was a tad bit softer then it actually is. It gives off a slight odor but nothing to be concerned about,I don't even smell the pillow at all at this point,so maybe that slight odor went away. Also the height of the pillow feels about just right and it actually does feel like your head and spine are in alignment,not just when you're sleeping on your stomach but when you're sleeping on your side as well. I may come back and revise the review,we'll see,right now though the pillow is pretty much what I was looking for,my other pillow was too soft and at the time I was sleeping on my side more,recently though I went back to sleeping on my stomach(because it's more comfortable for me) so I wanted a pillow that was geared more towards folks who sleep on their stomach and less on their side/back. As insofar this pillow is doing just that,so it seems to be pretty much what I was looking for and I'm pleased with my purchase. My only complaint would be that it's a tad bit on the hard side and could've been a slight bit softer then it is,other then that it seems to be a good pillow,worthy of a purchase in my humble opinion. I can't promise that it will work for you though since as I said everyone is different,so my advice is to do some research before you make your final decision.
