I just got a great new mattress and I used my old mattress protector on it until my new one from Sleep Tite came. I love the mattress in the store but when I started sleeping on it I realized all too quickly I wasn't as happy as I thought I would be. It seemed hard to roll over and I couldn't figure out why. When my new Sleep Tite Matress Protector came I put it on right away. I had been concerned that when you order things on line they may not fit correctly and then the nightmare begins as how to return it. I'm please to say though it fit perfectly ! Roomy and soft and well made. The best thing about about it I think is that its thin -- not too thin as it might rip or tear and not hold up -- it seems to be well made and very good quality -- but when I say its thin I mean when you go to turn over its not bulky. In fact turning over on my new mattress was really nice now with the new mattress protector. The old one was thick and bulky but this one is comfortable and quiet to sleep on. I realized that the old mattress protector was really thick and quilted and quite difficult to turn over on. The new one was great. I wish I the Sleep Tite available years ago. Read more

PROS: 1.) Does NOT noticeable change the feel of your mattress. This product does not feel like you are sleeping on a vinyl shower curtain, yet it also does not feel like you are sleeping on a jersey sheet either (it is somewhere in between the two). 2.) Lightweight/Thin YET durable. Dry on LOW and you will be fine. 3.) Does NOT have any noticeable effect on the temperature of the mattress when sleeping. 4.) IS WATERPROOF! This was my main concern as I have multiple cats. Whenever I go on vacation if my caretaker is not diligent, the cats will get made at me not being there and take revenge on the mattress. I do not have any fears with this product and my memory foam mattress. CONS: 1.) Price is a little high at $40 (for the Queen size) + $4 standard shipping. 2.) Is NOT a mattress pad. This is not necessarily a con, unless you were seeking a waterproof mattress pad. 3.) One problem does exist when drying. It will ball up in the dryer and not dry easily. It is almost best to air dry if you have the option. 4.) NOT fail proof. If you have cats, keep them away from it when it is not covered by your sheets and blanket. Their claws would probably damage the protector if they were able to get at it when not covered by your normal bedding. This product does a great job of protecting your mattress. One big tip for those who do have mattress pads already... place this on top of the mattress pad. Why are there ANY other mattress protectors on the market? This fits our 13'' deep memory foam mattress beautifully, but would also fit a deeper one. The fabric has a lovely, silky feel. We didn't totally spill test it--so I cannot attest to how water "proof" it is, but it certainly repels water. More important, it adds no bulk to our bed linens, no noisy cracking; it breathes, it feels like a high quality sheet and doesn't change the feel or sleeping temperature of our mattress in any way. I originally bought this item to protect my memory foam mattress. I have 2 dogs and I love having them in bed with me but since I am still in training with the one, we have accidents sometimes. This item has definitely held up and saved my mattress on numerous occasions. Everything there is an accident or something is spilled, I always check directly under the wet spot and the mattress has been dry every time. I also like that I can barely tell that it is even there. At first I was sceptical at buying a water proof protector for my bed because most that I have seen feel like plastic and make noise. However, this product is not that way at all. I dreaded having to replace the mattress cover we purchased with the mattress because it had been so good, but it was starting to tear and fall apart so we had no choice. This replacement is even better! It is very lightweight, but is waterproof without any 'plastic' feeling to it. It fits our deep pillow-top mattress perfectly - with room to spare! The price is excellent, as I saw many that didn't seem as good as this for much more. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to protect their mattress for a long life. Bought this for our kids room - one of our kids was a semi- frequent nighttime bed wetter. We started with the mattress covers that only are waterproof on the top, and after two incidents when our child wet the bed when they were sleeping far to one side of the bed (the side where the bed is up against the wall) and urine went down of the side of the mattress we decided to upgrade covers. So far I’m really impressed by this cover. We’ve washed it a few times and it’s held up - the other covers eventually got holes in them too, but this one appears to be a much more sturdy material.
