My 4.5 year old adores these underwear. She loves the prints - we've bought 2 sets so far. She says they are comfortable and soft - we have several brands in her dresser drawer and she chooses these every single time. They wash up very well (hot water, low heat dry) and don't stretch out during wear. The colors and patterns remain vibrant and we haven't had any tears or unraveling at the seams/hems. These underwear are, by far, thicker and softer than other brands that I have purchased. I don't have to worry if my daughter's bits and pieces are going to hang out of the crotch area, as they are stretchy but snug. Cute patterns for any "mood" she happens to be in. I know, I know: these are expensive! But I'm telling you it is W O R T H it. The material is thick, soft, the elastic bands are wide and well covered in the material, and they maintain their shape perfectly through the wash. I bought two packs for my 4 year old girl who is a bit bigger for her age. We got a size 5, and it worked perfectly for her. Now she's a little more than halfway to 5 years and I'm needing to get her a size 6. Buying these again because they're just fantastic. Cannot tell you how much BETTER they are than the crappy brands with her favorite characters on them.
