My glass bedside light that I had for over 15 years suffered a tragic break. I needed a new light, and I loved the switch on the cord of my old one. It made it so easy to reach over and turn off while lying in bed. I saw this little light and its reviews and decided to give it a shot. The price was amazing, and the reviews seemed positive. I'm so glad I chose this. It's perfect for my needs. It's small, so it doesn't take up much room. It's the perfect amount of brightness for me to be able to navigate my bedroom and see what I need without the big overhead light. It was easy to set up following the pictures in the instructions. It looks cute and does all that I needed for a great price. I highly recommend it. Read more

These are perfect for end tables because they do not take up a ton of room. They are very bright despite their size. Mine arrived intact and the shades are visually appealing. They fit perfectly in our coastal home. Read more

This little lamp was such a pleasant surprise. It’s gorgeous! It also, for its size, puts out a ton of light. It is a great visual reminder of the mid-century Modern lamps of my youth. It was easy to put together, and is so attractive, that I just put another two of them in my shopping cart. The lamp arrived completely intact, with no damage at all. It was obvious that it was brand new stock. Its little box was sturdy, and kept the shade well protected. Our bathroom doesn’t have a window, so it is lit by either the fixture on the ceiling (yuck) or a lamp we plug into the wall. For some reason, whatever wattage light bulb we try in our plug-in lamp, the light in there is either unpleasantly bright or ends up being at a level preferred by the Mole People. But the design of this lamp, with its cylindrical shade enclosing the bulb on all sides, gives off a good deal of light, while enabling that illumination to be diffuse, and pleasant. The bulb that comes with the lamp is surprisingly bright. We have a dark corner of the bedroom that we just wanted a bit of light in- nothing too bright. The neutral design of the lamp is perfect for the bedroom (for any room, really) but the bulb that came with it was far too bright for our preferences. No problem. We put a 15 watt bulb in it, and that wattage is working beautifully. This lamp takes E26 bulbs, the standard sized socket bulb you find everywhere. The light bulb that came with this lamp will be perfect for the bathroom, and also for illuminating a small room that contains the bathroom sink that also has only one bright ceiling light in it. The same difficulty with not enough light or too much was going on here, too. So we can’t wait to replace our old cheapie big box store desk lamps with these Minimalist Nightstand Lamps. It is kind of a bummer that this little lamp only comes with one type/color of shade. I am planning to water down some black acrylic paint and tint one of the shades with it. I’ve done this before with this kind of lamp shade, but will be sure to test a small non-obvious area first, and do the thinnest, most minimal layers to build to a pleasant tone. You have to be very careful that the water doesn’t cause the lamp to warp. If I see that happening at all, I’m going to stop. The other idea would be to wrap the lamp with sheer fabric affixed to the top and bottom of the shade with a minimal amount of fabric glue. The design of the shade does remind me of the lamps in my parent’s house when I was a kid. The style evokes a pleasant, late 50s early 60s time of optimism and plenty. Plug in these lamps, put on some Dave Brubeck, spritz on some Ma Griffe, and be transported back to a time when beautifully designed furnishings were created for all to enjoy. As was the slogan in Charles and Ray Eames’ creative offices: "We want to make the best for the most for the least.” I think Charles and Ray would approve of this quietly very stylish little lamp. This perfectly quaint little bedside table lamp was just what I was looking for. The size isn't obnoxious, allowing me to still use the minimal space on my nightstand. It isn't battery powered with a built in LED like so many others, but rather it uses a standard bulb with E26 base. I have a multicolor remote controlled bulb already and needed this kind of lamp to use it. It has a simplified and minimalist look that can match just about any decor. The only real complaint I can come up with is that the top being open allows a lot of the light from the bulb to be more direct into your eye. Not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind with how small this it. Read more

This little lamp is exactly as described, small, lightweight, has an on/off toggle switch on its brown cord, very simple to assemble, provides soft light. The playroom for our grandsons needed a small lamp that throws a bit of light, plus would be easy for them to access. It was placed on the end of the middle shelf of their toy/book shelves, then black electrical tape was used to secure the lamp cord to the side of the frame. It lies mostly flat, is nearly invisible, but the switch looks like a doorbell. They love it! Read more

what a nice little lamp this is. Leans toward the rustic in design. I love the tweedy shade and the fact that the included bulb dims to just the right brightness. I use it on our kitchen table where we eat all of our meals, a small kitchen and a small table without a convenient wall plug so this is perfect. Doesn't shine in our eyes and gives enough light to see our food. Creates an ambiance. Controlled easily by just touching the little silver button on the base. I appreciate that the bulb came with it; very easy to put together and can be placed anywhere since it is rechargeable. Super happy with this little lamp. Read more

Wobbly, the cover doesn’t stay straight. Could have a bit more sturdier design. Very cheap wuality, not sure how long will last. The light is pretty bright though. I have to buy another bulb with lower voltage because it is too bright. Has nice warm light doe to the color of the cover but very wobbly still. Read more
