I am someone who gets cold if the temperature drops even a tiny bit, so I bought this Small Space Heater to survive my freezing office. At only $19.00, it is such a small price to pay to finally be comfortable at work. I don’t know much about the technical side of heaters, but I do know this one works perfectly for me. As soon as I turn it on, I feel the heat almost instantly—it really does warm up in about two seconds. The air flow is just right; it’s a gentle, steady stream of warmth that stays right in my area. It’s also surprisingly quiet, so I can keep it running on my desk without it disturbing anyone else in the office. It feels sturdy enough that I expect to get a good few years of use out of it. I also really appreciate the timer feature because I can set it and not worry about accidentally leaving it on when I head home. It even has safety triggers that shut it off if it gets knocked over, which makes me feel much better about having it under my desk. If you’re like me and just want to stay cozy without a lot of fuss, this is a total lifesaver. Read more

I was surprised when first opening the box for this DPDOS model #WD-228 indoor space heater due to its small size. However, it puts out the perfect amount of heat to keep your legs and feet warm if working in a drafty office or dorm room. The attached photos show this heater is about twice the size of a coffee mug yet weighs almost same. The unit includes a bottom button switch that is depressed when sitting upright. If the heater is tipped over this switch shuts off the unit for safety. An "on-off-on" switch located on the lower back toggles the heater from off to low to high heat output. At the low setting the heater puts out a measured 578 watts, and at high the unit puts out a measured 850 watts, which matches closely with the nameplate data. A small indicator on top glows when the heater is operating. Most portable electric heaters advertised for heating a room typically operate at 1500 watts, which is the maximum capacity for most residential extension cords. While this smaller fan heater is about half that heating output, there are many uses where a smaller heater would be perfect. While the outer housing is some type of non-metal construction, the front hot air discharge grille is made of metal. The interior heating element is in a metal frame centered inside the outer housing with air space isolating the heating surfaces. The unit carries a "CE" and "UK-CA" safety sticker which is not same a the "UL" underwriters laboratories safety testing typically used in the United States, but most imported products having these altertive safety labels are accepted here. This space heater may be tiny, but it packs a powerful punch. I was genuinely surprised by how much heat it puts out for its size. It warms up a room quickly. The space I used it in, which isn’t actually small at all, heated up very well. One of my favorite features is the safety switch located on the bottom of the heater. It only works when standing upright, which adds an extra layer of protection. I really appreciate this, especially with curious little hands around, it feels much safer and more secure. The heater is also incredibly easy to use. The power button on the back is a simple push to turn it on and off, with no complicated settings. This heater is perfect for small to medium sized spaces. The quality feels solid, and the design is actually cute. If you’re someone who cares about home décor and wants functional items that don’t clash with your space, this heater fits right in beautifully. Overall, it’s efficient, safe, easy to use, and stylish an excellent addition to any cozy room. Read more

I love this heater! We live in Arizona, so my husband insists that we don't need to run the heat for the whole house and to be fair, he's right. This winter, the low during the night has only been 45-50 degrees Fahrenheit, so not terribly cold and my husband seems to like it, but I get cold sometimes and a blanket isn't enough for me. Enter this little heater! I love it! It's small, so it's easy for me to take from room to room where I need it. It heats up super-fast, has great air flow, and it's quiet, so it doesn't disturb me while I'm working or sleeping. I really like that it is safe, it is difficult to tip over, and it has an auto shut off feature in case it overheats. It functions well for me, and sometimes I have to turn it off because it works so well. Overall, I highly recommend this heater for one person, or a small space!! Read more

This was about smaller than I thought based on the pictures and the images on the box and even the size of the box. I went ahead and tested and so far there are two settings, both pump out heat but one do s more than the other. The highest setting really bumps heat and it has good enough power that the heat pushes out far enough and quick enough that you won't need it on for long. Once it's done being used it's still pretty hot or warm so I would suggest unplugging it and putting it somewhere to cool off when you are done before packing it away. I would say that overall this works well and accomplishes what it sets out to do. I didnt find a remote control with mine but the on and off button works fine. Read more
