I’ve been using the SmallRig Mini Side Handle for 1/4"-20 Threaded Holes (4755) on my Fujifilm XM5 with a cage installed, and it’s been a great addition for shooting videos. It’s lightweight, which makes it easy to carry around, and it looks cool, adding a sleek touch to my setup. When filming handheld, it provides a solid grip, and the built-in cold shoe and threaded hole are really convenient for attaching accessories like a light or microphone. The up-and-down adjustability is also a nice feature, letting me tweak the position to fit my needs. That said, it’s not perfect for every situation. While it shines for video work, it’s not great for taking photos. My hand feels awkward holding it when I’m snapping stills, and the handle itself isn’t very comfortable to hold for long periods—it can get a bit slippery, too.
