I really, really like this little trip. With all of the multimedia work I do, I often need a compact desk tripod that I can put a camera or webcam on, and this is probably the last small tripod I'll ever need. Yes, it's expensive ... but "buy once, cry once." Read more

Fun little tripod to have with you when you can’t carry around a full size. Much better quality than other tabletop tripods that I’ve tried. Took it on vacation with just my wife and I and with a timer, works much better than asking strangers to take your picture and hope that they don’t mess it up. Read more

I've been using this as a spotting scope tripod for about 6 months now and I like how rigid and stable it feels. My only gripe is that the degree markers around the base are reversed. So it's not useful for azimuth measurement without doing the math to convert indicated angle to actual. That's not a make or break feature on a tripod for me, but if you're going to put the markings on at least put them on right. Read more

Wanted something to shoot low to the ground. For less than the cost of a gimbal head for a traditional tripod, you can get this with a video head that accomplishes the same thing. This rig is so much lighter and packable, too. There is enough tension to handle my mirrorless with a 200-600 lens attached. Exactly what I was hoping for. Higher quality than expected given the low price. Read more

Not bad but at the co$t I really expected a bit better in a tripod with a "Quick Release" (QR) head. Note my detailing differences to the Siruii head I bought to replace the one provided with the Small Rig head is for informational purposes only, the one provided with the Small Rig is suitable for most purposes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The good It's small and lightweight. Both made better still by adding confidence that a heavier camera will not collapse the tripod. The leg locks operate smoothly and hold the adjustments firmly. The silver "locks" at the top of the legs allow the tripod to lie mostly flat on a flat surface. Good stuff. The level bubbles may be useful to some. Also the 1/4-20 female threaded holes on the sides of the head and tripod base can be used to mount a variety of things like an LED accessory light. Lastly the tripod base allows replacement of the fluid head with any other similar type head. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The not so good... The tilt handle is for right handed (I'm a lefty) persons only, it's not capable of being moved to the left side AND the handle itself does not have any adjustable positions other than up/down. The "video head" really should NOT be misconstrued as a "fluid head" as its adjustments are not very "fluid" so I replaced it with a Siruii fluid head at considerable (nearly $100) uplift in cost. The attached pic points out the small knurled screw type adjustment locks it has compared to the Siruii lever type locks which are easier to use. Also note that the Small Rig head with its screw locks also cannot IMO be misconstrued as QR. In my opinion the screw locks are not much better than having none when handling a large expensive camera. Finally, the ARCA plate is not compatible with my full size Siruii tripod. Being that it's an ARCA type It's likely going to work on every other tripod made but there's no guarantee. The problem with most of the table top tripods (Siruii included) is the tripod themselves can hold upwards of a 20 pound load but the heads are limited to around 6 pounds. Overall it will fit the needs of most, but if you already have a full size tripod tripod that you like AND the maker has a small table top model, it's likely a better tack to go that route. Unfortunately Siruii does not offer a similar model hence my needing to make the Small Rig suit my purposes. Read more
