I am a woman who loves the coolness, functionality, and quirkiness that tech gadgets have to offer, so of course I had to get these glasses. I pulled them out of the box, read the instructions, charged them up, and connected them to my iPad and iPhone very easily. I went to a streaming service on the iPad and turned up the volume just to hear their sound. It was a little tinny - all treble - but I could hear spoken words clearly. At this point, I wasn’t sure if these glasses were going to be of any use to me. The next day, I went grocery shopping and decided to take the glasses along. I wore them as sunglasses for the day as well. I got in my car and my iPhone connected to the car and started playing my music. When I arrived at my destination, I turned the glasses on, and as soon as I turned off the car, the glasses connected to my phone. I walked into the grocery store with my music on and commenced to shopping. It was actually a pretty cool experience, I had my tunes playing ‘above’ my ears, minus the uncomfortable ear bud situation. My ears are small and earbuds get very uncomfortable after a while. The music was not at full volume, but I do think that people close enough to me could hear something. If they didn’t hear anything, they sure saw me dancing up and down the aisles. I didn’t care. I got my groceries and went back to the car and as soon as I turned the car on the glasses disconnected and the Bluetooth in the car reconnected. After using them for a day in this situation, I can see where these might be cool to have around. Again, the sound is not the best, but I can understand why. You can’t fit a Bose speaker in the frames of the glasses, and you don’t wanna blow your eardrums out. It’s not like wearing earbuds, but if you just want a little ambient music, these are great. I love that I can turn on just the left side and listen to people from my right ear. Even with both sides playing at once I can still hear what’s going on around me. One caveat: you may hear ambient sounds that seem as if they are coming from a distance. It’s the glasses. It freaked me out one night while sitting on my porch, as I thought, I heard a bunch weird animals out in the yard. But it was just the glasses. Instructions were fairly easy to read and helpful in getting the glasses turned on and paired up. With the accessibility function enabled on my phone, I can have it read news stories, emails and text messages as well. That’s pretty convenient when you’re on the go. The glasses as sunnies work and wear nicely. The lenses I got are polarized and were very comfortable the entire time I wore them, without ear or nose fatigue/pain. Haven’t tried a call yet so I won’t comment on that part, but I’m sure I will be using these glasses again. Pros: style, fit, durability. Cons: sound. My Stars Explained 5 - Like finding money in your old coat pocket - pure joy! 4 - Almost perfect - like a pizza with just one missing topping. 3 - Like a movie that’s just okay—neither a blockbuster nor a total flop 2 - Like a blind date that went horribly wrong - cringeworthy. 1 - Like stepping on a Lego in the dark - painful.
