A Fun Gadget With A Few Quirks
As someone who loves trying out new tech, I've been curious about sunglasses with built-in audio and was eager to see how this pair performed. The glasses paired with my phone over bluetooth without any trouble. The design is certainly unique with bulky arms to house the electronics and earbuds that pivot up and down for adjustment. The sound quality for listening to music or podcasts is surprisingly decent. It's not going to replace dedicated high end earbuds but for a bike ride or working in the yard it's perfectly clear. I found that you really need to take a moment to adjust the earpieces. They have a 270 degree rotation and the stalk itself pivots so you can get them positioned just right in your ear for the best audio. The physical buttons for volume and track control are easy to find and use without looking. My main disappointment was with the microphone quality for calls. While I could hear the other person just fine they consistently told me that I sounded distant or muffled. The fit was also a bit awkward for my face shape. They felt a bit small and looked pretty silly on me which might not be the case for everyone but is something to consider. These are best for someone who wants the convenience of a single gadget for casual outdoor listening. They are probably not for people who need high fidelity audio or make important hands free calls. For a niche product that combines two functions it's an interesting piece of tech that works as advertised for media playback. Read more
