These work with either the Tuya app or the Smart Life app. I found, oddly, that if I put devices in the Smart Life app, they show up automatically in the Tuya Home Assistant integration. Connecting them was very easy in the Smart Life app and worked first try. These are a basic remote switch. There's no power monitoring and are only rated for 10 amps. These are a good price for a basic wifi switch for automation. Read more

These Smart Plug set of 4 Wi-Fi outlets are O.K. & can be integrated using Alexa/Google. The price range for this pack is O.K. but not great, as you can easily buy the name-brands at this price point. The plugs are small enough, but you can only plug 1 into a 2-prong outlet as they are too wide to get 2 into the outlet. You can plug 2 of these into a 4-prong outlet though. I recommend these too a degree as they're convenient & easy to use but again, I'd go with the name-brand at this price range. If these were 25% cheaper, than I'd likely give these a stronger recommendation. As-is, I'm giving these 4-stars because of the cost. Read more

My wife likes several different lights on and especially at Christmas with the tree and fixtures, I can turn everything on or off at the sound of my voice with Alexa to go to the pad and just click a button. I love these Read more

Likes: Price, function, easy setup Dislikes: Size, LEDs, internet dependency For a cheap solution to get smart control for an outlet, these are pretty decent. They integrate through Tuya, Smartlife or Smart Things so you're going to need an internet connection for app control and of course voice control. At least they don't require a hub. Unfortunately, they are too big to fit 2 of them in a standard double wall outlet. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I already have a bunch of these set up in my home so I already had the Smart Life app on my phone and linked to Alexa. I have a lot of display cases in 3 rooms of my house and have the lights plugged into these devices and have them grouped together in Alexa so that I can turn multiple cases on at once. For example, I created a group called “main bedroom” that has 3 display cases, a lighted shelf and two nightstand lights all connected to it. I can say “Alexa turn on main bedroom” and all the lights turn on. When I go to bed I say “Alexa goodnight” and they all turn off. You can also control everything through the Alexa app if you don’t want to use voice commands. It’s super convenient. Regarding these particular devices, once you have the apps installed they are really easy to set up. They are wi-fi based and have no problem connecting to my router which is 50’ away and through several walls. There is a button on the side that you press and hold until it starts flashing, then when you open the app it should find it and ask you if you want to install it. After it’s installed you can change the name of it in the app to whatever you want. Alexa should also automatically find and install it while it’s in pairing mode. Once it does you can open the Alexa app and change the name there as well, and add it to an existing group or routine or add a new one. If the power goes out and comes back on, these will retain all settings. Sometimes it can take half an hour or so for everything to come back up and connect, but they always have for me without me needing to do anything. If you need to manually turn one on or off you can press the button on the side of it. It can be a little time-consuming setting up the apps and defining groups and routines but once done it works really well! I’ve been using these type of devices for home automation for over 10 years now and love them! Read more

I was excited to find smaller smart plugs to [hopefully] integrate more lamps into the hands-free household, but it proved more difficult than the other smart plugs I have. While I eventually got one to work (sort of), it was a frustrating endeavor. First off, tiny instruction booklet is a joke. If you can read the size 3 font, the instructions are scant and worded oddly. It's no better once you're online - it was confusing at best. I still have yet to figure out how to name the lamp I connected it to or how to sync it with Alexa (it says you can, but I haven't had success yet). I'm not sure this frustration is worth it.
