I’m got these for use with a SmartThings hub and found that they were so easy to pair. Plug them into the outlet and they will immediately be discoverable in the SmartThjngs app where they can be setup with one click and you’re done. They work exactly as advertised and are much cheaper than competitors (often half the price). I’ve used several other brands and these paired easier than any including SmartThings own outlets and they are just as responsive when manually controlled from the app or as part of an automation. The only downside I see is the indicator light is fairly bright. I use one in a bedroom and it throws a bright glow in a darkened room. I used a bit of electrical tape to cover the light and problem solved. I highly recommend these and I’m looking for something else to automate so I have an excuse to buy more! Read more
These come under several different brand names.. I've been buying this type for several years and I feel like one manufacturer makes them because they all last about a year or two and then quit. Then, when you want to re-buy them.. they are a different brand name. However, the price is right, I use them daily so they get a lot of use. They connect quickly to hue or smart-things or alexa. They are best used with smart-things out of those three options. Read more
With SmartThings, just hit add device and search nearby. Press the button on the plug and it's done. Don't search for the manufacturer. Just plug-in, search, press and boom! Response is fast, but I'm not sure about the range. I have an Aeotec ZigBee range extender which corrected all connectivity issues with other devices. My network is primarily Z-wave S2 long range, but these were cheap so I don't care much if they fail. I am using a 35w draw LED light on each of these without an issue. I can't speak to large loads running through these. I would not pump more than 5 amps (600 watts @ 120v) through it. A printed circuit board will simply not handle that without melting. There is no way this could handle 10 amps for very long. If you stick to LED lights and smaller load items, you should not have an issue. Read more
Lasted for about a year and then started to malfunction. Random shut offs. No logs in the SmartThings app. I’m convinced it was hardware related. In the trash I guess. Unreliable. Read more

Very simple setup process. Works as an outlet and mesh extender. Be sure to reset the device before first use as the hub may not find it just by plugging in and starting a discovery. Aesthetically I like the same and that I can easily put a blackout sticker on the button. For the price I don't mind that it takes up more space than replacing the actual outlet rather than plugging something in. Haven't had any issues with connectivity and it works well in my daily routine to turn my mirror on every morning at sunrise. Read more
Disclaimer: I have only ever used these with Home Assistant. I went with these after repeatedly trying to order ZigBee plugs from other vendors and weirdly only ever receiving WiFi plugs. These are, at the time of ordering them over the last 2 years and now, the cheapest option available, and I've had no issues pairing them or using them. They are now the only brand I really want for smart plugs. The range seems to be better than some of the more expensive ZigBee bulbs I have. My HA server is in a far corner of the house, yet it reaches my garage with 0 issue and no other device in between. Currently, I have these directly on outlets and on power strips, powering some box fans, standing lamps, and 4x LED shop lights in my garage. I have yet to find anything you can plug into it that causes electrical issues (Though there is almost assuredly a limit to how much current you can draw through this thing). The only nags I have are things I'm willing to live with, but you may not be. You cannot stack two of these on the same outlet. This is what made me consider the rectangular form factor in the first place; but I really haven't encountered a situation where I really needed two on the same outlet. Additionally; if you use these in an area where someone will be sleeping, the blue LED can be a bit bright. I have mine sort of hidden behind a dresser where it doesn't bother me, but you might want to tape over it. In general; really, really good for being the cheapest option out there. I have about 12 now, though I'm sure I'll end up with more. Read more
