Sleek, Discreet, and Great Value Bluetooth Glasses (With a Few Flaws)
The media could not be loaded. These glasses are sleek and very discreet—most people would never guess they’re smart glasses. They fit well and are very light. That makes them especially convenient for anyone who wants to listen to audio in settings where headphones or phone speakers would be impolite. The lenses also include blue light blocking, which is a nice touch for computer use. As for sound quality, keep in mind they use an open-ear design. The audio is not as rich as AirPods or other in-ear headphones, and definitely not on par with Ray-Ban Meta glasses. But for the price, I think the value is very reasonable. One design flaw is the small blue indicator lights near the lenses that blink every few seconds when turned on. In bright light they’re hardly noticeable, but in darker settings they appear as a flashes on the lenses (see video for example). This is very distracting and can be headache-inducing. I was able to solve this by covering the lights with black tape, but now it’s impossible to tell when the glasses are finished charging as these lights turn red while charging and become blue when fully charged. Future versions would benefit from moving these lights further back—or removing the blinking entirely. Because of the open-ear design, your music can be heard by others if you play it loudly. At low to moderate volumes, though, it’s barely noticeable unless someone is right next to you. Overall, these are a decent pair of Bluetooth audio glasses—sleek, discreet, and a solid value for the cost. I would buy them again despite the quirks. Read more
