I find the heart rate monitor to be accurate. Most read the "R" wave of the Q-R-S complex and compute the BPMs rather than counting them directly so different devices will give different results. I bought this watch b/c it was cheap and I didn't want or need a more expensive version just to track my BPMs before and after my AFib treatment(s). The instructions are adequate. After a bit of fiddling, the time and date updated, the watch synced to my Iphone, etc. Seems to be working fine. It's a tremendous value for the money. To make it work you need to download and install an app (free) called GloryFit. The app has a lot of functions and settings to customize what you want it to do (Weather? Sedentary alerts?) Will certainly let you experience a SmartWatch and help you decide if you really want one from Apple....This one does everything I need for $10 and looks great. Read more

Long battery life. Sleep data shows REM sleep too, not just deep and light sleep, which is nice. The watch band is very comfortable and I like that it came with two strap holders in case one breaks. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that if I use the watch to track a walk (meaning I set it on the watch as an exercise session), it counts those steps differently when I look at the data on the app versus on the watch. The watch will still show my total steps for the day, but the app will only show the steps outside the exercise session and it shows the sessions in a separate place. So, when I'm trying to see my steps over time, it will look like I have fewer steps on the days when I tracked a walk. Not a deal breaker, but because of that, I'm less likely to track an exercise session and just let the watch track my steps in general so they all add together. Also, for some reason, the app will only pull my phone contacts from one place on my phone and it's missing all my actual most-used contacts. I tried syncing my contacts on my phone from gmail and my phone contacts, and re-downloading the contacts to the watch, but it didn't change anything. It would be nice to have a way to manually add contact to the watch in case I want to dial them from the watch. Read more

The phone features have never worked on this watch. I have had the chance to see 3 of these watches operate and of the three, only one watch lived up to being fully operational. It’s also unreliable for correct information. My friend bought hers a few weeks after I did and while hers does allow the making and receiving of calls, mine only rings for incoming calls and I can’t talk on it. Worst is that the step feature is anywhere from 3,000 to 4,000 steps off daily. I know this because when I first bought it, I wore my old smartwatch at the same time for awhile.
