If I could give this 10 stars, I would. This shirt is so lightweight that I couldn't believe that it would be warm. And, I have always found wool to be crazy itchy. When you factor in my Plus-size, I wasn't expecting much of anything good. Surprise! The shirt is light enough to be worn under another shirt, and good-looking enough to wear on its own. It's very soft, resists wrinkles, and doesn't require frequent washing because of wool's magic properties. One cold night I fell asleep with it on and was surprised to find how much better I had slept. Wool helps the body self-regulate so I neither over-heated nor got cold, unlike poly blends. And, wonder of wonders, even though mine is a Plus size, the shoulders fit, the length is appropriate, and the torso was close enough to keep me warm without looking like a stuffed sausage. I went back and bought several more. It's that good. Read more

Not scratchy, fits well, good weight for all seasons as a base layer. I’ve been loving these wool base layers for work, because I work in an office with cold air conditioning but it’s also hot outside and I’ve got to walk around. Wool has been great for regulating my body temperature and keeps me comfortable. I ended up getting three of these in black. I’ve washed them and hang to dry, no pilling and they still look brand new. I’m also plus sized and the sizing is great for my body shape. True to size. Read more

Some smartwool models aren’t as comfortable or fit as well as others. This style sleeve is better for my broad shoulders, and the material is softer than some of the other styles. It does fit long in case that matters. Happy to find a deal here, as the local sporting goods store is expensive. Read more

I absolutely love this shirt. I'm new to ultra-fine merino as of this year, and wonder where it has been all my life. I run cold so this keeps me warm and happy during the winter. It's also totally breathable, so doesn't produce any sweatiness and leaves you feeling dry in wet climates. The cut is feminine and the color is beautiful. This also washes up well on the delicate cycle (although note that you don't need to wash merino wool often, since it is naturally anti-microbial and odor resistant) so feels much more practical than many other knits. This fabric is so soft. The fit is nice but not loose anywhere. I will come back and update after I've worn it on my 22 hours of flights, reporting back on the sweat and odor resistance, and also the warmth. 5'5, 135 lbs, small chest. If I buy a second one I would buy a medium. Read more

I love these ‘layer’ tees, but I often also wear them as just tees—not layers. I think they work very well as layers. At yhe same time, they work as very well as tees. Love the raglan sleeves for unobstructed movement. Love the weight. Maintains even body temperature comfort—not cold/not hot.m—just right. Read more

Smartwool that was made in Vietnam very a great product and soft on your skin. I have 4 of them and use them when we go skiing. This Smartwool that is made in China is sooooo scratchy that you cannot wear it. Some stores still have the original one made in Vietnam. I returned this one quickly! Read more
