I know it sounds kind of funny, but your waist size is the actual belt size with this. This belt is really comfortable, doesn't pinch, the hardware seems pretty good quality. It's real leather and hasn't cracked or flaked at all, so seems not to be the weird pressed leather shreds some belts are made of. It's a good thickness to be sturdy but doesn't have any trouble fitting through belt loops. The studs seem to be anchored in pretty well. There was no smell at all when I got it unlike some leather or 'vegan leather' products. My only complaint is that the buckle is painted black, not anodized, and the paint scrapes off quickly so that you end up with silver streaks where the fastener rubs.
