I love these handsoaps. They get very sudsy so I feel like my hands are getting clean, and they still manage to leave my hands feeling moisturized. Maybe it's the essential oils. This is definitely one of my favorite scents that I have tried so far. I would love to have this as a bodywash actually -- it doesn't irritate my skin and combines well with my highe end perfumes, which can be challenging. The Coconut & Sandalwood is probably a close second. Read more

This was far from my first SoapBox hand soap purchase - it is my go-to brand. So naturally I wanted to try out this seasonal edition. For context, my absolute favorite scent is the Citrus (downright addicting!) and a close second is the Coconut (smooth and yummy). I wanted to love these new ones - I am a big fan of "spiced" and fruity in general... but alas, the scent of the Spiced Vanilla wasn't a particularly clean scent, it had a slight overtone of something hard to describe but just seemed a bit chemical and muddled. The scent was strongest while washing, while the after-wash scent was lighter and better resembled a slight vanilla fragrance (but still a touch perfumy and definitely not spicy). Overall I decided it wasn't an aroma I really wanted hanging around my kitchen sink or bathroom or (to be honest) on me. Ultimately I took both bottles to work where we relegated it to a staff restroom and it seems to be doing quite well there - co-workers are using it up at a prodigious rate, heh! Again, it is an excellent quality soap, just not (in my opinion) the best scent and definitely not "my" scent. The Frosted Pomegranate was better. That one still doesn't quite hit the top of the "crisp and uplifting fruity" mark like I had hoped, but is quite usable. I decided to keep one bottle for myself and then brought the other (along with both Spiced Vanillas) to work to offer to a co-worker who is also a huge fan of the SoapBox Citrus scented soap. She (like me) did not care for the Spiced Vanilla (which is how it ended up in the staff restroom) but also rated the Frosted Pomegranate good enough to keep and was happy with the gift. I'll give this purchase 5 stars overall, due to the excellence of the quality of the soap itself. But only 4.5 stars for the Frosted Pomegranate scent and a lowly 4 stars for Spiced Vanilla. This coconut milk hand soap is a delightful addition to any sink. Its creamy, tropical scent instantly transports you to a beachside paradise, making handwashing a sensory treat. The formula is rich and moisturizing, leaving hands soft and hydrated without that tight, dry feeling some soaps cause. Infused with natural coconut milk, it’s gentle on sensitive skin and free from harsh chemicals like parabens and sulfates, which is a big plus for eco-conscious users. The lather is luxurious, creating a velvety foam that cleans effectively without stripping natural oils. A little goes a long way, so the bottle lasts impressively long, offering great value. The packaging is sleek and practical, with a pump that dispenses just the right amount, minimizing waste. It’s also cruelty-free, appealing to ethical shoppers. Highly recommended for daily indulgence. Read more
You Don't Know Me—January 3, 2025
We have this soap in our main-floor powder room, which is primarily used when friends/family visit. I've gotten several compliments on the scent, especially from folks who appreciate that their hands haven't been steeped in anything too artificially floral or aromatherapy-y. I must admit that I don't pick up any tea scent. The smell is a gourmand kind of lemon: more like a lemon cake than a pungent Lemon Pledge scent. It is not citrusy enough to replace the stronger Kitchen Lemon scent I use to mask food stank at my kitchen sink. The soap lathers nicely and rinses completely without leaving a film. It won't leave your hands feeling Palmolive soft, but I don’t find the soap irritating to the skin, either. All in all, this is a good alternative when you want the feel of a nice liquid hand soap without the migraine-inducing fake floral or cheap spa scent. Read more

The formula is pleasantly moisturizing, which is exactly what I was looking for. The scents are light and pleasant, though not particularly distinctive. My only disappointment was with the packaging — out of the three bottles in the variety pack, only one pump functioned properly. With improved dispensers, this would easily be a five-star product.
