This is the second set of felt pads for us. The first was used on the two queen beds in our loft at the cottage we're full-timers in. They make it a doddle to move them away from the kneewall which intersects the 12/12 pitch roof (no headroom!) where they normally are placed. Enter OUR bedroom. We have a king-sized bed, black iron, with the expected 4 round main legs, two 1"/1.5" rectangular legs, and a half-dozen interior-under-the-bed 1" square support legs. It's heavy, and we needed to be able to pull it away from the wall when we make it up after a wash, since the head end requires some tucking of the excess sheet fabric, even though it's a fitted bottom sheet. It's heavy enough that while we could MAKE it slide, it would scratch the floor. So, having proven their facility and ease-of-application on the other two beds, we went for the next set! These cut easily (but only with sharp shears; they won't cut from the edges of the support legs). I lifted each different-size/shape leg and made a paper template by marking around the leg bottom onto a piece of scrap paper (throwaway mail envelope from a power bill!), and cutting it out, placing it onto the too-large circles, and cut to size and shape. I was able to get under the bed, lift the particular leg far enough to center them properly, and drop (well, carefully lower) the given leg onto the enthusiastic double-stick back of the cut-to-size pad. The bed, despite its weight, now slides easily on our floor, leaving no evidence of its passage. Our next use will be for our new dining table and benches, all with heavy 2.5" square tube iron legs. We recently installed hand scraped hickory throughout our home and wanted to protect the finishing of our floors. We chose these felt pads over others mainly because you get more for your money and we knew we were going to pad every piece of furniture, regardless of if it was stationary or not. These pads work great. On the majority of our furniture, even though they don't match the espresso color of our things, you can't even see them. On the few pieces you can see the pads on, it isn't distracting enough to cause a problem. I would have rated at five stars, but, the pads do not stick well on furniture you're going to move more than two or three times. So if you have accent chairs, ottomans, or other pieces that your friends and family may move a bit when they visit you, then you should periodically check the padding and make sure it is still in place. Other than that, this is a wonderful product. I have purchased more just in case we add more furniture or need to replace any of the little pads in the future.
