The Sol de Janeiro Double Date Gift Set was the perfect way for me to try two new products before committing to the full sizes. I took the SDJ fragrance quiz, and Cheirosa 59 was one of the scents recommended based on my preferences. I’ve also been wanting to try the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, so this felt like the ideal set, plus, the mini sizes are perfect for travel. I was initially worried that the Cheirosa 59 mist would be too overpowering since I don’t typically enjoy floral scents. In the bottle, it did smell a bit too flowery for my taste. However, once it settled on my skin, my body chemistry transformed it into a sweet vanilla scent with just a light hint of florals, which I actually ended up liking! While the scent did lighten quite a bit throughout the day, I was still able to smell it on my skin several hours after application. While 71 and 62 are still my absolute favorites, it’s nice to have 59 on hand when I want something a little different. The Brazilian Bum Bum Cream is the clear winner for me. It’s scented with Cheirosa 62 and has that delicious nutty caramel fragrance I already love from the mist. The cream itself is thick, applies smoothly, and absorbs quickly without feeling greasy. It left my skin feeling soft, smooth, and hydrated all day. I’ll definitely be purchasing a full-size jar and am excited to see the long-term firming benefits it’s known for. The set also came in a beautiful, colorful, ready-to-gift box, making it a perfect present for a daughter, best friend, or any beauty lover. Highly recommend! Read more

I've never tried anything from this brand before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of scent, longevity, or how moisturizing the body cream would be. I’ve heard a lot of positive things about the brand over the years, which made me excited to finally test it out for myself. Between the two products, I find myself preferring the scent of the perfume mist once it fully dries down. I tend to gravitate toward gourmand fragrances, and this mist has a really nice sweet vanilla scent that feels warm and cozy without being overpowering. It’s the kind of scent I naturally reach for because it’s playful and comforting at the same time. The body cream smells good too, but it has an underlying note that stands out more strongly to me than the vanilla. I can’t quite identify what it is, but it makes the cream come across a bit heavier and less sweet compared to the mist. That said, the cream performs well in terms of hydration. When I applied it to my hands, they felt noticeably softer and smoother afterward. I used a few sprays of the mist on my arms and used the cream on my hands. I think they have good longevity scent-wise since even hours later I could still smell both. So I don't think I would have to constantly respray just to keep the scent on me. Even though I slightly prefer the mist’s scent profile, I enjoy both products enough that I’m now curious about the other fragrance options available. This set ended up being a nice introduction and makes it easy to explore the brand without committing to full-size products right away. Read more

I ordered this gift set for my 10-year-old daughter because she and all her friends are completely obsessed with the brand. It came in a really cute gift box with a bow printed on it, and opened up kind of like a drawer which she thought was really cool. The set comes with the Bum Bum cream and the travel-size body mist (which is the perfect size for her to toss in her backpack or Dance class bag - and is nice to try out before committing to a larger pricier bottle). She got a gift set of several different mini mists for the holidays last year, but we were excited to see this set with Cheirosa 59 - one of the few scents that didn’t come in the gift set we got. And we’re glad we got it. The Cheirosa 59 mist smells amazing, it’s warm and sweet, like a mix of vanilla and flowers. Not too heavy or formal, and doesn’t have the strong alcohol type smell a lot of perfumes have. Really great for a tween. She sprays it everywhere and says it makes her feel so fancy. The Bum Bum Cream is nice too - super moisturizing, leaves skin feeling smooth, and smells great. It’s not greasy at all. It absorbs quickly, and feels soft and soothing. As usual, Sol de Janeiro didn’t let us down 🙏🏻 Read more

This is a cheerfully packaged little gift set with two of Sol de Janeiros more popular products. Brazilian bum bum cream is one of my all time favorite body lotions for scent and consistency. It’s somewhere between a lotion and a cream, the texture is perfect and it melts into skin. I do some plumping when I use it although I believe the effects are temporary. Still- so many firming or toning lotions smell like a doctors office. This literally smells like a beach in heaven. Cheirosa body spray isn’t my personal favorite but it’s popular for a reason. It has a warm floral sweet smell and gives an even spray to mist over body and hair. I personally like to layer bum bum cream with a perfume or body mist that has citrus or mandarin basil type notes. I feel like similar to cooking, that combo gives off a very balanced and subtly sexy signature scent. It’s a small little duo but I expected that and while SDJ is high priced in general, these are fairly generous for travel sizes. I was honestly sad to rip up the box, it’s gorgeous and gift ready! This is a great way to sample both without a huge investment. Although- trust me, you can go all in and order the jumbo bum bum cream. It’s addictive. Read more
