Ok so this is the biggest one that I have so far and the price at the time of purchase was a STEAL. Add the 200w solar panels and I couldn't hold back. Likes: I like the capacity, the fact that you can charge and discharge at the same time is extremely convenient. Its not too big size wise but you won't be too happy having to carry it around alot. The solar panel is a powerful one. 41v is way higher than my other 200w solar panel. Dislikes: It doesn't have a "boost" feature where if something needed the extra power to start up then you're out of luck if its greater than 1000w. Most devices do have that feature added since some big items do have compressors and things that pull a little extra to get started. The solar connector is specific to the generator. There are some companies who do this but I would prefer if it was an MC3 connector because those seem to be more universal than the other connectors. Would I buy this solar generator and solar panel combo again? Yes especially if I need something around this size. Also if I would be able to get it at around the price I did then yes definitely. Got this to run an iceco VL68 fridge/freezer combo on camping trips. From full charge at about 5pm would run until sometime in the early am the next morning, and then would recharge it off the car battery and then the solar panel during mid-day but even though it would say it was 3/4- full charge it would no longer power the fridge or anything else. As soon as you plugged anything in, a phone charger or the fridge, it would just shut off. So was pretty useless the rest of the trip rendering our fridge/freeze an overpriced cooler. Ran it fine however while it was plugged into the ac adapter while driving home, though too little too late. Contacted customer service and they instructed me how to do a hard reset to completely drain the battery, & then do a full re-charge. WHY WASN'T THIS INFO IN THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL!? Would have been helpful to have been able to do this while we were out on the trip. It worked and after letting it re-charge off house AC power for several hours it did fully charge and would again run the fridge. Unfortunately next trip 3mo later it basically did the exact same thing. Not that impressed and wish I would have gone with something else as now its outside the return window ;/ Read more
