These solar LED path lights are fantastic! They were very easy to install, no wiring at all, and started working right away after charging. The lights are bright enough to clearly illuminate walkways and garden paths while still giving off a warm, welcoming glow. They automatically turn on at dusk and last through the night, which is super convenient. The build quality feels solid and they’ve held up well in outdoor weather. This was the first time I ever ordered solar lights for the driveway. I've seen them for sale in the Dollar Store but I always figured I'd go back another day to buy them and then they were gone... So this time I ordered them online. They put out a decent amount of light which is more of a bright white light than a warm yellow light. I will say that these are on par with the quality found in the Dollar Store. They are lightweight and made of plastic, and I was actually afraid of breaking the stems of the product when inserting into the ground because they were thin and hollow and needed to be assembled. I hammered down the bottom piece with the ppointy end firts and them added the other stems and the light on top. I think they will most likely last at least one season or more but only time will tell. These types of solar lights sell at major box stores and also some Dollar stores for approximately $4.99 each so, at that price, 8 of them (as in this box I ordered) would cost around $40.00. I've seen cheaper 8-item sets on the internet but it's hard to say anything about the quality of those. I am giving this item 3 stars because of the light output (wish the color was warmer) and the overal construction of the item (wish it was more sturdy). You may very well like them. Read more

I ordered this 8-pack of solar pathway lights to brighten up the walkway leading to the front door, and they did exactly what I needed them to do. When I set them up, the first thing I noticed was how nice they look once they’re in the ground. They give off a warm, soft glow and make the whole front path feel more welcoming without me having to run any low-voltage wiring or deal with timers. The fact that they’re fully solar was a huge plus for me. They’re bright enough to light the way at night, and the warm white color looks great against the landscaping. The style is really pretty, and once they all kicked on that first evening, they looked like something straight out of a home magazine. That said, they are made of lightweight plastic. They look good, but you can tell they aren’t heavy duty. I’m not sure how they’ll hold up in strong wind or rough weather, and I honestly think if the company ever made a metal version, it would take these to a whole different level. Even with that, they work exactly as advertised and they’re perfect for adding some beauty and nighttime visibility to a walkway or garden. What I was most happy to see was that the lights didn't die-out in the middle of the night. They stayed well lit and had great battery life. They look great, and for less than a $50. price point, they were a fantastic value. They light the path, and they bring a nice warm glow to the front of the house. Very happy with the product. They are, of course, waterproof (IP65). As the vast majority of these types of lights, they automatically turn on at dusk and off at sunrise or in reality, when the batteries go low. These lights claim to stay on between 8-13 hours on a full charge. The majority of my eight lights, stayed on for an average of 8 hours, not too bad. I've had hundreds of solar lights over the years, they all eventually fail. The failure mode is usually the solar cell fails to charge, the dusk/dawn circuit fails or the batteries no longer take a charge. I usually take the batteries out of them for the off season and store the lights indoors. I also put dielectric grease on the battery terminals to prevent corrosion. I seem to get an extra year or two with this method. The batteries on these lights are built in so I am unable to remove or replace them. The quality of these lights are definitely "budget". The plastic is very thin as well as the posts and anchors. The lamp itself is only 3.5 ounces. Personally, I don't expect much from these throw away lights, but for the price it's worth trying. Rather than try to keep them in perfect condition and change the batteries out, I'd just assume, replace the lights when needed. They claim that they use a premium solar panel and build-in 800mAh higher capacity battery. They have a consistent light output throughout the night and they all produce the same glow. Time will tell if these lights will hold up. I'd say that these are as good as any of the lower quality affordable solar lights. Read more

These solar lights are smaller than the ones I purchased from Costco (see picture). The entire unit is made of plastic even the stake, so take it easy when inserting the stake into the ground (may want to lossen the dirt before pushing into the ground). I have an older set with different style housing that is same size as the new ones, the older set produce more light than the new ones (see picture) but the new ones are brighter than the larger Costco lights. The only issue is that they only last about 5 hrs (sun light charged about 8 hrs), they didn't last as long as the older set which produce brighter lights 7-8 hrs. I placed them next to each other so both have the same among of sun light and the new ones started to dim out after 4 hrs, so I have to knock off 1 star. If the lights stay alive for a year, maybe changing out the battery for higher amperage may help..... Read more
