I thought this came as a pack, so I was surprised when only one light showed up. The listing says “lights,” so that threw me off a bit. Even then, it’s still a cool piece. The remote works well and the three-color modes look nice. You get warm white, cool white, and daylight white, so you can switch it depending on the look you want. It also has an RGB light mode, which makes it flash in a variety of colors, but I do not plan to use that setting since it stands out/looks weird to me and probably to any of my neighbors who'd notice it. It’s winter right now so the charging isn’t the strongest, but that’s normal for solar. Installation is simple. You can set it on a balcony post or railing, and it stays in place. The glasslike build (it’s plastic) looks good at night and gives off a clean vibe. One thing that kind of sucks is that there was no adhesive tape to mount it, only screws, and my balcony railing is too narrow for the base, so I just taped it down with duct tape and am hoping it stays in place and doesn't fall over during the rain. It does feel a bit overpriced for just one light, but the build and color options are nice. If you want one decorative solar light with a remote, this is a pretty good one. Read more

The media could not be loaded. This is an interesting Solar Post Light. It is not really what I consider a walkway light or landscape light. I guess you could call it a special-purpose solar light. The size is a little larger than I expected, especially the pole, but it still looks and works fine. It has different light modes and colors available. It can come on at dusk and turn off at dawn, or you can set the timer to 3, 5, or 8 hours on. It comes with a remote to control all the different modes, but you can also set the timing modes on the light itself. The colors are pretty bright and vibrant. Depending on the brightness and mode, I found it would last around 10 hours, depending on the sun. The one I picked up had the base for putting in the ground or mounting it to a deck or railing. This is a really pretty nice light. It seems sturdy, easy to assemble, and the battery lasts an acceptable amount of time. The ability to change the colors and modes with the remote is what really sets this solar light apart from others. The only drawback I can see is the price. For over $30, you are getting one light. While this is a nice solar light with unique features, the price can limit what you can use this for around the yard. One picture showed eight lights on a path, which would run you over $250, while with normal solar pathway lights, you can get eight for less than $50. The price can be hard to swallow when most of these solar lights are dead within two years, if you’re lucky. That said, the material feels lightweight but not flimsy, and assembly was straightforward. My husband installed it between our solarium doors in just a few minutes using the included hardware. Once it was up, my opinion changed. The light automatically came on when I took the dogs out that evening, and the RGB colors were much brighter and more vivid than I expected. We’re currently using Dusk-to-Dawn paired with the color-changing mode, and the light has stayed consistently bright through the night after a full day of sun. The remote makes it easy to switch modes or adjust settings without having to take the light down. Another plus is that the fixture is waterproof, and we’ve already had rain since installing it with no issues—no moisture inside the housing or dimming of the LEDs. Overall, this is a nice decorative solar light for patios, porches, or garden areas. It adds ambiance more than strong illumination, so I wouldn’t rely on it as a primary security light. This solar post light can run about 4–5 hours. The remote control is convenient, especially with the timer options and the dusk-to-dawn sensor that makes daily use effortless. It comes with a remote, but can also run automatically by turning it on and selecting one of the 3, 5, or 8-hour timer settings, or left on to allow the dusk/dawn sensor to turn it on whenever it gets dark. Screw directly into the porch railing wood, or use the anchors for fence post mounts.
