Solid Wood Bookcase and Book Shelves Wood and Metal Shelving Unit 6 Tier Bookshelf Modern Rustic Open Bookshelf

This bookcase is very well made, exceptionally sturdy, and looks great. I purchased the six-tiered unit. It holds an amazing number of books on each shelf with no deformation whatsoever. I loaded each shelf with about 30 hardcover books between the uprights. The shelves are solid wood (no particle board or manufactured wood) and over an inch thick, but they are extremely lightweight. The bookcase is designed to be very easy to assemble. All the bolts have hex heads and two Allen wrenches are included. The instructions are quite clear. My only complaint is that some of the holes on a few of the shelves didn't align exactly right with the bolt holes. This made screwing the bolts into those few shelves a real pain. With patience and a bit of finagling, I was able to get them all in. One reviewer suggested not tightening anything, especially the cross bar, until all the shelf bolts are started. This very well might have eliminated the issue I had with the shelf holes aligning a bit off from the support holes. Overall, a great purchase. Read more

These shelves are amazing!! It only took me over a year to decide on a product. I chose these because they have real wood shelves (pine with beautiful grains). Also, because they are taller than most - we have 9 foot walls. It took an hour to set up each shelf, with the help of my husband. Set up was ridiculously easy. And you must NOT tighten all the hardware until it’s all put together. And use a level to check both horizontal and vertical. Also, the “x-bracket” on the back, make sure the flat side where the screw goes through is flush to the metal frame (it’ll make sense). The shelves are sturdy and beautiful! These are beautiful! We have two, one on either side of our fireplace and the living room has never looked so good. The small X in the back was the worst to put together so beware - it seems like you need to keep twisting to tighten but you don’t, it’ll dent the metal if you keep going. Otherwise, they were not too hard to put together. The packaging was great, too. Just know the box will be on the longer side and will be heavy. Overall they are lovely and I’m so happy! Read more
