This skirt is comfortable and flowy. It gives the illusion of being a wrapped skirt with a slit, but there is no actual slit in the skirt so no worries about wardrobe malfunctions. The high waist and side ruching make the front flattering while allowing room for curves if you happen to have a bigger back porch like me. Based on the hip measurements in the size chart, I was between a small and medium. I got the small because I have a smaller waist measurement and it fits well on me. The movement of the fabric itself happens primarily at the bottom, which gives it a lovely and curve enhancing mermaid effect. This skirt is better than expected! It honestly feels so well made and great quality. It’s not a typical satin skirt of which I have many. The cut is so deliberate and precise in enhancing a woman’s figure. It feels and looks expressive. I don’t have pronounced hips. I’m more narrow shaped. But the cut of the skirt is flattering and gives me an hourglass figure. It fits true to size. There is a little stretch as well. The material is substantial without being overly thick. I can wear this with so many tops. I might get it in another color. The mint green is beautiful with chocolate brown or black for this winter. It’s perfect as well for the spring and summer months with sandals and a simple tank top. I’m 5’4”, 127 lbs and typically wear a size 2/ small in bottoms. This fits me perfectly.
