Had my father assemble this in maybe 6th grade, im going into 8th and it's worked perfectly. Although oddly shaky (only if shaked) and breaks easily (also goes back together easily and will stay so unless intentionally broken. that said, when it was being put together my father couldn't figure out how to put the cloth cover on it. I've still used it and it hasn't actually caused any issues but if you don't want an industrial looking shelf, don't buy this. Read more
It's pretty ugly imo but it gets the job done. Pretty easy to assemble, but not very sturdy. I ended up putting command hooks against the wall and tying each of the polls to it at an angle; it's worked fine. It's holding a pretty good amount of weight I think, but I haven't really tested the limits. I think it provides a lot of storage space for the price point, and is acceptably stable. I don't think I'd want this as a permanent fixture in my room, but I'm only living in my current place for a year or two and it's perfect for that. Read more
Simple version - Don’t buy this. Long version - While the price point seems reasonable and compares well to other clothes racks, this is a prime example of ‘you get what you pay for’. This product is made with cheap/flimsy materials and it shows - both in appearance (in person it looks like a $15 temu purchase) and in sturdiness (the cheap plastic connectors started bowing after a month of supporting only a few items of summer clothing). I used it for a few short months and was constantly worried that it was going to collapse, topple over, or just disintegrate into thin air. I’ve since taken it apart and moved it to a more suitable place - the trash. My pics show the difference between a connector that remained straight (one from the base) vs one that bowed (from a higher hanging section). 5 out of the 11 connectors bowed just as badly. Again, this was from hanging no more than 20 lightweight summer clothing items - I’m talking undershirts, t-shirts, linen pants. Full transparency, I did hang a singular hoodie on it for a few days as well - that’s on me for being too optimistic. I am a renter and when closet fell down due to no anchors.. this was my quick solution. The package arrived in good condition. I made sure all the parts were here and began assembling. Everyone may have different experiences based on your physical and mental abilities. I am very technically inclined and didn't really need the instructions. I can usually look at a diagram and figure most things out. I am however petite and am only 5ft tall. I am not very strong. I have my own tool box and only needed my rubber mallot and a tall step stool to assemble. It came together within 30 minutes. I got the larger size since I have a walking closet. I recommend building this inside the closet. Please measure before purchasing. I always do and it was perfect. Tips. There were times where I needed to really push hard or use my rubber mallet to make sure the metal bars were securely inside the holes. I would turn the structure to the side to hammer in the pieces. Sometimes when trying to put 4 poles into 4 holes, I needed some help from someone to hold the other side steady. If you tall and have long clothes.. this isn't going to work. This is Asian sized. 😆 It is sturdy enough for small people's clothes. I wouldn't disk heavy duty items on up. This entire structure is made of light metal poles with plastic (medium duty) stabilizers. There are plastic sleeves to go across the surface of horizontal areas for shelving. You'll need storage bins for a flat surface for storage. I could totally kick this structure to the ground with one karate kick. 😆 Read more
