Sony PlayStation Pulse Elite Wireless Headset Renewed

***UPDATE*** 2nd pair broken in five months. I'll never again buy these in "renewed" condition. These broke after eleven months but I can't say that it wasn't from how I treated them. I didn't have a good place to keep them and they could have received undeserved abuse. I will try to fix them but I might end up buying another pair. Too often, headphones do not describe the size of the cups even though they are over-ear style. I have too many sets of headphones that are supposed to be over-ear that are way too small. I'm 59 and this is common for people of my age since ears start growing before birth and continue to do so all through life. These headphones are not the best audio quality but they are excellent for the price. They can connect with the included dongle and Bluetooth simultaneously. This is greatly helpful when I have to answer the phone while using my computer because the audio is coming from both at the same time. The sound reproduction, while not the best, is very much like the original sound. They don't add extra bass but they have the bass that the audio calls for. If I want extra bass I can add it with an equalizer but I haven't bothered with it yet. They have volume controls but these only seem to work with the dongle and not the Bluetooth connection. I wish I could give 0 stars. I’ve done tons of research and now on my last of 3 sets of Sony pulse elites. Each one has broken on the head band above the ear piece. I am super particular about where they are set and carefully taken off and put on. When you pay $150+ THREE TIMES!!!! In under 2 years, I get the picture. These are trash. I bought this pair I’m writing the review for 4/15/2025. I play often but make sure I take very good care of them because I need them for my gaming. I notice the sound was off about a month ago. I adjusted some settings and just lived with it. Today I notice the same spot as before, cracked. Just on the other side now. It doesn’t seal to my head. Isn’t noise cancelling and falling apart. When they worked they were good but I read reviews of them cutting in and out mid game. Mine started doing that about 3 months in. Mid fight, I’d have to disconnect the usb and reconnect it about 15 seconds later. In a game like call of duty, imagine what that does mid fight. I am a loyal PlayStation player for 20+ years. It’s all I’ve ever owned. I refuse to buy another of these and I feel sorry I’ve sent so many of my teammates and CoD community, this as a suggestion. Original. Very nice sound quality. No issues connecting with the console. My phone is also connected to it and it works at the same time as the PS5. I can watch short videos on my phone while my game on pause. Looks nice. Price is okay. Read more
