The value is there for the money, however, it is not as bright nor are the blacks brilliant but it is more natural of a picture. Cinema mode is where we prefer to view movies and shows so the picture and the overall size of the picture is incredible and the clarity makes you feel like you are part of the scene. Overall thumbs up if you like more of a natural looking picture. Read more

This tv was used infrequently. Very low hours over a 15 month span. Initially it had a glitch with the picture and crackling with sound. However this was fixed with a factory reset. The tv has suddenly stopped working entirely. I have tested the outlets and I know these are working. I contacted Sony but they were unhelpful. North Carolina does not have a repair specialist for Sony that they would recommend. They apologized and said to search the yellow pages or online for a local repair company or buy a new tv… Read more

Beautiful picture. I got this TV instead of the LG because this has better black levels and yet it’s still very bright. Owned two Samsung TVs and they crapped out on me after a couple years. Getting the HDR and 4K to work with the Xbox One was a pain. I looked up on YouTube how to fix that and now everything works fantastic! it’s also a good idea to hook it up to your internet and update it. Bottom line: I absolutely love this TV!! Read more

the quality of display looks good to me , but the most impressive part is the size. 85 inches is much larger than my previous 75 inch TV, and it is below 2k. Read more

Great TV. Issues with random loss of audio with my pioneer receiver. Work arounds in play but the ARC is buggy and if I use external devices (roku, ps4, etc) life is good, running Android via TV, audio problems persist. Read more

PROS: It’s massive. It’s larger than me. Gaming on this TV feels like I’m playing in real life, because the screen is life size. I no longer have to paint the wall in my living room, because it’s completely obscured by my huge TV. CONS: I had to dip into my child’s college savings to pay for this beast. Completely worth it tho. Who needs a degree when you have this TV!? *** UPDATE: I just found in the settings that this beautiful TV has Alexa functionality built in. That means that i dont have to waste any calories to pick up the remote to turn the tv on, turn it off, or change the channel. Alexa can do all those things for you! *** Read more

This TV had a major problem when we first got it. It took forever to get it to turn on and it was hit and miss when it did. After about a month, when I was about ready to throw it out in the tard the people at the " Sony Help Center" finally put me thru to someone at the factory. Turns out that there was a software glitch, and it took about 5 minutes to fix it over the phone. We leave the TV plugged in for over 2 years but after we had to unplug it (for painters) after a little over 2 years, it acts just like it did before. This time though, they won't put us through to the factory because it's out of warranty. They suggest we contact the nearest Authorized Sony service center, which is 120 miles from my house. We have a Samsung and an LG TV in our house. We'll never have another Sony. Read more

We bought exclusively for sports viewing and daytime television. Picture is excellent straight on or at angles. Cannot tell you how it is for movie viewing but reviews were not that great when i was trying to pick a television. Read more
