I needed some more variety in shorts during the summertime to go with button-ups, so I wanted to try this brand out. I'm 6ft, 195lbs, 33-34in waist and ordered a medium. In the picture they are a little wrinkled because they just came out of the packaging. The medium fits, but I can feel the elastic sides squeezing a bit. They're light, super forgiving fabric, super flexible around the waist. They fit like activewear but look like business casual shorts. They're 100% polyester, so they won't be super breathable, but will be quick-drying. They have that polyester feel, so they don't feel super premium, but they look good! I love the addition of a zipper pocket - great to have a pocket to prevent items slipping out while out and about. At this price point, I was hoping for metal buttons (or a sewn in button) in the back, but these have white plastic snap-close, which feel a bit cheap. I picked these Soothfeel shorts for everyday wear and ended up liking them more than I expected. The fabric feels very light and breathable, which makes it perfect for hot summer days. The fabric is polyester. This is not a negative per se but the skin feel is different if you’re used to cotton and gives the shorts a swimsuit feel. There are five pockets. In addition to a reasonable roomy zippered cargo pocket on the right leg, there are two standard pockets on the front and two on the back and they are of average size. The rear pockets have snap closures which I find more difficult to manipulate when wearing the shorts than pockets with buttons. The zipper on the fly is nylon which in my experience is less durable than a metal zipper. The shorts seem true to size. However, the waistband (per the materials) is elastic and if you are gluteally challenged and like to make full use of all those sweet pockets, you’ll likely want to use the loops to wear a belt or belt buddy. I ordered these Soothfeel Men's Casual Golf Shorts with 5 Pockets 7"/ 9" for shopping, summer walking and light workouts. I normally wear a 42-43" waist, or an XL. Since imported sizing generally tends to run small, I ordered these in 3XL and 9" inseam. After trying them on, I realized that a 2XL would have fit better, and the 7" inseam would have been long enough. Those were my decisions and not a fault of the product, which I would say is generously cut true to size. Keep that in mind when ordering. Sizing aside, the material is soft and lightweight, and drapes nicely. I really like the side pockets, which are just right for holding loose items and the zippered hip pocket which fits my phone. The waist has belt loops and a generous amount of elastic stretch, which is why I feel a size smaller would have been a better fit for me. Overall I am very pleased with these shorts. Read more

I love the lightweight material of these shorts…they just feel nice. They fit really well and have a “standard” shorts feel…just above the knee, not too baggy, not too slim. The one thing I didn’t like too much is the elastic parts of the waistband. They make the fit feel good but don’t look great. So just wear a belt and that’s no longer an issue. Read more

These are great shorts for my 15 year old son. He loves the feel and fit, and his mother and I love that they look a little nicer than something he would choose off of the rack. The color is a perfect neutral color (stone grey) and the added benefit of a discrete access cargo pocket is great. The waist has both belt loops and elastic so it is nice that he can wear it without a belt when he has an untucked shirt in the summer, but if he wants to put on a nicer golf shirt, he can add a standard width canvas belt too.
