These are really nice warm, comfortable boots for snow. They are lined with thick fur, which makes them warm even without the heating element, but with the element they are toasty. The outside of them appears to be waterproof. Each boot has a Velcro sealed slot on the inside where you slip a slim heating power pack and attach it to a cable within the slot. At the top of each power pack is a button that you can use to select one of three strengths of heat. The strength you choose is indicated by an LED. The heat applies to the sole and heel of the boot. The outside sole of the boot has very good grip on floors, sidewalks and trails. I haven't yet tried them in snow and ice. There are a few strange things about these boots that prompted four rather than five stars, but they are not game changers. One is the lacing mechanism, which is on the back of the boot, along with a tongue, rather than on the front. You loosen these laces and slide your foot in. The problem is that these laces feel a little flimsy, and because they are in the back you have no bootstrap loop on which to pull the boots on. Since the fit is quite close because of the internal fur, this is a disadvantage, although it's not super hard to get the boots on. I also have a concern about the wires to which the power packs attach. They are quite thin, and I worry that in time they will fray or become damaged. That being said, I love the way these boots look, and while I haven't yet worn them in snow, they look like they will provide quite a bit of comfort and protection. Read more

Snagged these boots hoping to have something to help keep my feet warm while shoveling. The boots are true to shoe size. However, They did not seem to be getting super warm and one of the batteries kept changing its charge level and heat level without being touched. Also, on either the android or apple app store is there an app for these boots as advertised. Which was incredibly annoying. The only "app" I could locate via google was listed on a very sketchy website that I was not going to download from. They are warm and comfortable, and the batteries are small. So, it doesn't add much to the weight of the boot. I can't speak to the durability of them, as I have not worn them long enough to test. As I did not feel comfortable doing so with how the batteries were acting. I do not think these are a worthwhile purchase for their cost. Read more
