Tiny & mighty, but don't barbeque on it.
I have mixed feelings about this tiny heater. On the one hand, it's very affordable, space-saving for sure and kinda cute (my daughtet loves it lol), it does heat up crazy fast and the fan circulates that heat quickly in a small room. It's steady and quiet, and I like the safety button on the bottom (if the heater is tipped it triggers it to turn off). I also like its simplicity (there's on/off and low/high). And ceramic heaters are generally considered reasonably affordable for spot heating "because they are energy-efficient and heat rooms quickly, using a fan to distribute the heat". But here's where the other hand begins, I don't see any info on how much electricity this littke bad boy actually uses. And it's light, very light, mostly plastic, that concerns me in a heater. And I could get around that if I had confidence in the company but I don't know this company, can't find anything about them, and the tiny manual they enclosed with this heater reads oddly, including telling me to "not barbeque on the heater". Whhhat? Oh that's a deal breaker. Kidding aside, the product manual left me with far less confidence. So we're using it on a trial basis in a basrment workout room that is getting too chilly as the weather changes, and only when we're there to watch it. I'll be watching my electric bill along with the plastic, I'll report back any negative issues. If it works safely and efficiently and quickly, consistently, I'll up my rating. For a tiny twenty dollar heater that would be truly impressive. Read more
