I've had a problem with cold feet whenever the outside temperature gets below 65. I've had to wear 2 pairs of socks and wrap my feet with an electric heating pad. This heater is a real Godsend! It gets hot quickly on high, then I turn it down to low. I keep it at the foot of my recliner and my feet warm up super fast! The only thing I find a bit disturbing is that it does NOT have a tip over safety. I thought they are required to have it, but apparently I'm wrong. That's why I give it only 4 stars. Otherwise, it seems quite sturdy and easy to use. I do think the wording above the knows should be white not black. I have to pick it up to see the settings. All in all, it seems to be a good product. Read more

I bought this for a garage shop and use it in a homemade wood kiln. I use an Inkbird for temperature control. it works great for my purposes but I would NEVER put this in my home. It has no tip over shut off or built in thermostat. In my opinion it is suitable for a concrete floor shop or with an external thermostat to control it. pro - it gets hot for a PTC heater, that is what I wanted - simple settings are off fan lo high 1500/750w - low price con - no thermostat (this is a pro if you use with an Inkbird temp controller) - no tip over safety - quiet Temperature observations... Low PTC element temp 228 F 6 inches away an aluminum refrigerator panel was 143 F after 5 minutes High PTC element temp 278 F 6 inches away an aluminum refrigerator panel was 196 F after 5 minutes The exterior of the heater housing remained safe to touch at only 89 F The room temperature was 60 F By comparison, I have two other PTC heaters and from a few feet away you can barely feel the heat. First of all, it is not a 1500-watt heater, nor even 1400-watt or 1300-watt or even 1200- or 1100 watts. No, on "high" setting, this thing puts out less than 1075 watts of heat. THEN, just when things are starting to warm up, it shuts down. Won't even get you to 90°F. You can't even get a sweat on. Then refuses to budge until it cools off substantially below 90°. All the reviews saying, "well, it's a good heater if you don't need a thermostat" are very wrong. It HAS a thermostat, they just don't give you any control over it. This thing is useless. Get yourself any $25 heater on here and you'll be better off. Read more
