First off, this product does do what it says it does. It dries SUPER fast. Though it is not meant to be submerged underwater. This is a really interesting product. I was expecting something that felt more like stone, instead these are something more like hard plastic, it is VERY hard to describe. It is not plastic to be clear. It is some other kind of material that I am not familiar with. What was weird about it is that it smelled really awkward at first. And when you touch it with your hands it has a weird abrasive feeling. Also, the instructions say the way to clean this is with sandpaper, especially if it stains. I wish the instructions said to use latex gloves or something when handling it. I hope it is safe for holding with skin. It was just kind of weird feeling to me. I apologize for how oddly I am describing this thing, but it really is unique to me. They do say you need to clean it off right away when you first get it. It was much better to handle after that I suppose. Aside from that, the product is is as advertised, so no complaints there. I do wish the instructions were a little bit clearer and maybe warned customers of the smell and how you likely need gloves when first handling it. I will say I'm still pleased with the product. It was very straight forward to assemble, super easy. Time will tell how long it lasts or how practical it really is in my bathroom. Read more

When I first took these absorbent splash trays out of the packaging, I was struck by the VERY strong chemical smell of them and was really reluctant to use them in my home. However, the smell quickly dissipated and my unhappiness was replaced with surprise when I saw how quickly they absorbed the ever-present water from my counters from hand soap use. I think the slight elevation on little "legs" to allow air flow underneath the stone is the key factors to this item's success. Due to the odd curved design of my kitchen sink, I've been struggling to find a splash guard that fits, and this one fits perfectly! But because the countertop material is granite, it becomes really slick with any moisture, so to keep the stone tray from sliding around, I adhered four little silicone "grip" dots onto the bottom of the legs. I'm using one at the kitchen sink and one in our bathroom, and both counters are staying dry so far, hooray! Read more

I had high hopes for this product, but my hopes have not been realized. I was surprised how many “rules” there were when using products made of diatomaceous earth. The biggest issue I have is that you can’t wash them. That’s kind of a big deal because these things are dusty, covered with a fine powdery residue right out of the box. According to the owner’s manual, that’s “Due to the nature of diatomaceous earth…”. That’s fine but I want to be able to clean the thing. The instructions include the following statements: “Pouring large amounts of water on the mat may case [sic] quicker warping” “And please don’t soak the pads in water.” The statement, “… quicker warping” suggests to me that these ARE going to warp at some point but if you get them real wet, it will happen sooner. “Don’t soak … in water” tells me I can’t wash this with soap and water. I had planned on using this in the bathroom to place my toothbrush (among other things) but if I can’t wash the thing first, I’m not putting anything on it that will end up in my mouth. That goes for using it in the kitchen, too. The above is kind of sad because the product seems pretty well made. The feet screw on the stone easily and the stone does seem to soak up water quickly and easily. This is a good idea but apparently, diatomaceous earth isn’t a good material from which to make products that will contact items intended for oral use. Read more
These little absorbent shelves were just what I was looking for. Our electric toothbrushes were leaving rings on the tile, that would build up, look terrible, and are hard to clean. Now they, the toothpaste, the sponge we use to wipe the sink, and more, sit perfectly and the water drips disappear instantly. These shelves handle our hard water, and, even weeks later, I haven't had to scrub them as I expected to. Assembly was easy, and they are quite sturdy. Read more
If these fit on your counter and match your decor, then these will look nice. They work well. They have a little bit of curvature on them, but they do a good job at soaking up moisture. I wish that the grooves on the top were reversible, but it can really just be assembled one way. Read more
