The material is lightweight and dries quickly, which is perfect for a cover-up. It’s also not see-through in the color black, which I appreciate. I got this for my wife because we were going on a cruise and we would be spending a good deal of time on beaches. She always wears a cover up to and from the beach, so this seemed like the perfect gift. Unfortunately, when she received the cover up and tried it on, she was not happy with the overall fit of the cover up and she ended up not taking it on our trip. She wears a medium or large, depending on the top, and I got her a large cover up, because it’s supposed to be worn over a bathing suit and I felt having a little extra room would be better. The cover up was really wrinkled when she received it, and upon trying it on she felt that the cover up was not well portioned. It fit her shoulders and body, but it was very baggy, too boxy, and too loose to look good. She also was not a fan of the particular material that it is made out of. She’s 5’6” and has an average build, and a large was definitely too big, so I’d say that it runs big. I use this for hot tubbing in cold weather. Its so roomy and easy to throw on even if your suit is wet still. It allows me to put something on so I can get back inside in cold weather. the quality is good, no loose threads, even stitiching. Lightweight but stills gives good coverage of all the bits. This beach cover-up is lightweight and breezy, but it is not sheer. I've had other cover-ups that were sheer and ripped easily because of the fancy features. I like that this item has fabric with a tighter weave, so it doesn't have any stretch to it. The tag says it is made of 98% polyester and 2% spandex, but that 2% spandex does not give you very much stretch at all. It holds its shape well, and if worn on the beach, sand will not stick to it. This simple beach cover-up has no frills to get in the way. I got a large size. I usually wear a size 12-14. Although this will work, I think I would size up, just so I have a little extra room for comfortable movement. For example, the fit is nice over a swimsuit, but if I put this over top of clothes, it's a little restrictive. I think the value for the price of this item is good. Overall, this is a good find! This is the color I was looking for. It matches this sunhat that my husband bought me a few years ago. It's a normal tunic style pullover swim suit cover up. There is no real shape but it does the trick and it is comfortable to wear. The material is very light but not sheer with a nice length for the beach or pool. It has that polyester feel so I'm on the fence on whether or not the value is there for the money. I guess if it had pockets that would be the game changer for me. Read more
