I have some pretty gnarly upper back issues & thought I’d try these out. After watching the video above, my husband was able to apply one of these exactly as shown. So far, it feels great & seems to be helping. My posture isn’t horrible, but this tape has already been a great help when I slip up & slouch in my office chair during work. The tape adheres good & was easy for my husband to apply to my back. I’ve been plenty active since we’ve applied it & it seems to be retaining its adhesion quite well. I even had a decently long jump roping session & it’s right where it was when I started. I sure appreciate that this comes in a pack of 4 & that it’s made by our fine neighbors in Toronto, Canada. What I like about the Spidertech Professional Pre-Cut Cotton Kinesiology Tape for Postural Support: They give you alcohol wipes for each Pre cut tape so you can better prep the skin for better adhesion of the tape. I like that the tape is precut and numbered so you know which way is best to apply the tape for more secure adhesion. The material has some flexibility but not a lot. You do need to be in a relaxed position for applying the tape so most likely you will need someone else to apply the tape if you are using it for yourself. Though they can get wet, I would limit water exposure to a minimal to keep a stronger adhesion. The material is comfortable and latex free so it did not irritate my skin. There were no odors associated with the use of the product. Once applied correctly, it did help with some cervical discomfort and I didn’t feel like it was restricting my movement. What I dislike about the Spidertech Professional Pre-Cut Cotton Kinesiology Tape for Postural Support: At $9.50 each I will only use them for limited situations. Read more
I received a box of the Spidertech Professional Pre-Cut Cotton Kinesiology Tape that appeared that someone opened in transit; therefore, I did not use it. The box was torn on the bottom edge of the package near the word, “PRO.” A serrated edge was remaining on the upper and lower portions of the box. If this was just the design for the box, then the manufacturer needs to modify the packaging. The remainder of my review will only reflect a visual inspection of the contents. The overall packaging is great but a bit obsessive for four thin sleeves. The actual tape is of high-quality. I appreciate the numerical application guides. I received a four-pack of blue tape. I am sure that the color of the tape has no impact on the quality of the tape. The price point is a bit too steep. Okay, my final verdict is that this is a three-star product. At its price point, the folks at Spidertech should have shipped their product in more secure packaging. Ok first off....near $40 for FOUR pre cut applications. A bit absurd right off, since you could just as easily buy a roll and do the same for less than $5. Then...the kicker, the tape and adhesion isn't even that good. The tape feels a bit rough on the outside, I'm ok with that, some people won't be. But the adhesion is horrible. I had it on not even 2 hours and it was already peeling at 2 corners. And of course, if you have to adjust it at all....it loses basically all its adhesion. So, curious how long it was going to stick at all, I left it as is. Six....hours....that was it. SIX HOURS. I have had cheap tape lazily applied that lasted 4 days, and this lasted SIX HOURS. As I mentioned above, it seems like quality tape and I expect it to do the job quite well. I selected this product to have on hand as needed. And while I do have a need, I will be checking with my physical therapist to ensure it's proper placement. Frankly, the cost is quite high. This might be unimportant for quality material, but you will decide that. I feel there is a LOT of excessive packaging to make this feel like more than what it is, tape. There is already too much trash generated in this world to think this is okay. The other thing that this fancy packing was open. No seal on it at all. Weird. I love kinesiology tape for pain relief and joint support. I have a hard time getting the application just right to support my joints. This tape is precut to the perfect shape to help me apply it for perfect joint support. This is also packaged perfectly to allow for easy use. The precut strips have a separator layer to keep the tape from sticking to each-other. These are made from highly quality tape, that has a superior adhesive that stays better than most other kinesiology tapes. I highly recommend if you want perfectly precut kinesiology tape.
