Serpents and Staircases is a cute Harry Potter themed take on the classic Shoots and Ladders. This game was easy to set-up and the unique game-play features were easy to understand and teach to others. We were able to start playing right away, which is always a plus when playing with kids! The moving stair cases made it very fun and challenging to win this game! The game is well-made and will stand up to plenty of use for your little wizards. The board game and pieces are typically sized for a board game and are sturdy. This is a fun twist on the familiar Shutes and Ladders game. The staircases can move to advance the player, and landing on a serpent's head can send you back. Harry Potter characters are the markers which adds to the authenticity. It was fairly easy to set up, but does have to be disassembled to put away. My daughter and granddaughters (12 and 9) enjoyed playing it and will play it again. Be sure to read all the rules since there are variations from the traditional game. Read more

Such a fun little game! I’m obsessed with Harry Potter and so is my daughter so this was just fun to be able to share and play with her. Do read the instructions on how to play because it’s slightly different than the original shoots and ladders with the moving staircases. But the game is high quality, thick board and pieces so they don’t bend easily, and the little character area adorable. Read more
