For the price point it is great. Function- holds a small bottle of dish soap, hand soap, a bottle brush, a straw cleaner, a sponge and a stopper. I wasn't aware that the base that everything sits on was able to come out to be cleaned. However, when I was moving- i noticed it moved and was able to slide it out to clean. I have not had it very long so I can not speak on if it will rust or not. The water does drain off the sponger holder. I love this little caddy, it hold everything I need at my hands.
