This sponge holder is a very solid and functional piece of kitchen hardware that feels durable and looks modern in my sink area. While the product is marketed as three zero four stainless steel it is important to know that it has a matte black coating. This finish looks more like wrought iron than typical shiny steel which actually fits my kitchen style quite well. It is a sturdy and rust resistant solution for keeping the sink organized and clutter free. I really like that there are two different ways to install this caddy depending on your needs. You can use the suction cups for smooth surfaces like tile or glass or you can use the waterproof adhesive strip for a more permanent hold on the side of the sink. The claim of a one second installation is accurate for the suction cups as long as you make sure the surface is cleaned thoroughly before you try to stick it on. The design of this holder is excellent for keeping things clean because the hollow wire frame allows for perfect drainage. Sponges and scouring pads are able to air dry very quickly which prevents that damp and musty smell from developing. The seven inch size is a very reasonable capacity as it holds a standard sponge and a brush without taking up too much room inside the sink basin. One thing to be very careful about is how you open the box when it arrives. The clear suction cups are loose inside the package and are not secured in a separate bag. Because they are clear they can easily fall out and be lost or overlooked when you are unboxing the item. I recommend opening the package slowly over a table so you do not lose the parts you need for the suction installation method.
