Beware: color scheme might not be as pictured

My dog loves it and I would give it five stars, except that the color scheme does not match the photo - i.e. that "traditional basketball color". The one I received is red and white with black seams, so it's not obvious that it's meant to be a basketball. The dog doesn't care, but a person chooses to buy a basketball (or soccer ball or football) vs. some other sort of multi-colored plush ball, because that's what they want to see their dog playing with. He has a black and white plush soccer ball, and it's really cute when he chases and bats it around, because it kind of looks like he's trying to play soccer. Sometimes he tosses it up in the air and scrambles after it, more like he's trying to play basketball - how cute would that be with a ball that actually looked like a basketball? This one just looks like he's playing with a round plush toy. Read more

I was disappointed when I took the ball out of the box, it is not the color shown in the picture, It is red & white! It doesn't state in the description that colors may vary so I was expecting the color shown. Poor quality, misaligned stitching

The sewing on this ball is all uneven and misaligned, making me question the durability of such a dog toy. This could possibly pass as a dollar store toy but nothing more, so I feel I overpaid for such poor quality and will initiate a return. My dogs really like plush balls, and I was hopeful for this to work out. Even though I'm ambivalent to the sport of basketball, the wonky construction makes it look sad. Also, the product dimensions are wrong, as seen in my photos. It's a lopsided ball, varying from 3-4" in diameter. Read more

Disappointed

UPDATE: Have only had this ball for a few days and it's already starting to come apart. Was looking to add another ball to my pups collection. He loves the one he has now but I got it years ago and can't find another like it. This one is a great size for him (14 lbs) but it's almost impossible for him to get it to squeak. Even I have a hard time. It's also not as "plush" as I was hoping. It definitely softer than a tennis ball would be, but not as soft as I would like. He still loves playing with it, but prefers his old softer and squeakier one. Read more
