These are great for an inside mount. I have 29.5 inch window inside dimension and this strong but light and easy to fit. Instead of curtains I have more control of the South facing window in my office with one of those pleated paper shades in white to block out sun on my computer screen. instead of using the peel off adhesive strip at the top to attach directly to the window, I folded it over and attached it to itself to create a 3" pocket. I used a paper stapler to reinforce the bond a little. Slip the rod in the slot and use the pressure mount of the rod to place the paper shade. It looks attractive. I use clothes pins or other clips to change height as needed. I highly recommend these rods for a variety of uses b/c of price point and solid construction as well as ease of mounting. Read more

These types of rods can be very infuriating if they are not easy to adjust and solid when installed. This rod performs well on all counts. Very sturdy when installed and easy to adjust for the correct length for any window within its size range. Highly recommended. Read more
The tension rod is sturdy as in it doesn't feel like it will bend or snap easily and it is a true white metal with good rubber ends. My issue is that you have to take it apart to use it at the smaller size range (28-29 inches) because it does not compress down to the lower end unless you remove one of the segments. I mean, it's a sturdy tension rod for about 5 dollars so, that's good, but if you order the 24"-32 " size you may have to take out a piece to compress it to the size you need it to be. Typically tension rods screw down within themselves to be close to the size needed then you compress it to fit where you need it and when released, the tension holds it in place. This one would not screw down to even 27 inches without removing a segment. I was concerned it would break if I removed the middle piece (because why would you need to do that?) But it didn't break and so far works okay. Read more
Great product but in my case I wasn’t careful and didn’t look at the size and came the wrong size but other than that it was a great product! Read more
I need this rod for a space 28 and 7/16 inches wide. The product info states it will fit spaces from 28" to 43", so it *should* be good. What it doesn't say is that the rod is comprised of the extending rod itself and a second piece for an extra extender so it can get up to that promised 43" max. The basic rod without extender will actually fit a space as small as about 15.75", but when pulled out to 28 and 7/16, it's so loosely extended that it sags in the middle almost to the point of coming apart, and it has no strength at all. So the rod without extender does not fit a space of 28" as stated, you have to reduce it to 27.5 or smaller just to get enough strength. But with the extender attached, the SHORTEST length it can be reduced to is 28 and 15/16, just a hair shy of 29". So if the space where you need to put the rod is between about 27.5" and 29", as mine is, this rod will be utterly useless for you despite its stated range of extension. Read more
Well made rod but shorter than expected Read more
These are actually pretty awesome. I have net curtains hanging on and could fit them into my windows without any drilling and screwing! Read more
