Lightweight and the wheels are smoothest I ever used. Read more
I had very high expectations for this suitcase since it came with such a luxury price tag (the list price for this carry-on was $149.00 when I ordered it). With some other brands, you can get two or three pieces of luggage for the price of this 20-inch carry-on, so I wanted to make sure it was really worth it. Here are my findings: PROS: - This suitcase looks very nice! The dark navy color is super sleek and it’s also very gender-neutral so anyone in your family can use it. The spider logo on the front also makes it easy to tell this suitcase apart from other navy ones. I will say the wheels do look a little funny (almost like they got bent), but that’s just cause they used special “Shark Wheels” to help the luggage glide smoother. - Regarding the wheels, they do look a little strange, but I’ve found that they glide and roll very smoothly across multiple surfaces (laminate, tile, concrete, carpet, etc.) so I can deal with their slightly odd appearance. - The inside of the suitcase is spacious, and you’re given a few different ways you can store items. You can use the side of the suitcase with the bungee-style straps to help secure piles of stacked clothes. You can use the opposite zippered side to keep smaller or more fragile loose items in place so they’re not bouncing around the suitcase. There are also two mesh zippered pouches on the front of the larger zippered side so you can store smaller, thin items or items you want easy access to in there (this is a great place to store flip flops). This suitcase is also expandable, you just unzip the second outside zipper and it lets you fit a lot more inside. This feature is super handy for if you’re going on a longer trip and need room to pack a few more sets of clothes. - All the zippers on this suitcase glide smoothly, and I haven’t had any issues with any of them getting caught or snagging. I also really like that the zipper pulls are long so it’s easy to get a good grip on them. - The telescopic handle feels well-made and is easy to raise/lower. In addition to the telescopic handle, there’s also an extra rubber-like handle on the top which helps make the suitcase easier to pick up and move around. - This suitcase comes with a TSA approved lock to help secure your valuables. I do want to point out that I didn’t test the lock feature because I personally never use that on any of my suitcases but it is there. CONS: - I honestly really couldn’t find any cons worth listing when I examined this suitcase. Everything (the zippers, handles, wheels, etc.) felt well-made and functioned properly which is why I gave this item 5 stars. I will say though that $150 for a single carry-on is definitely on the more expensive side so I personally would try to get this item on sale if you can. Overall, I’m very happy with this suitcase! The media could not be loaded. Overall, I’m quite impressed with this Spyder Rails 20” Carry-On Suitcase. The quality and workmanship are excellent. It is lightweight, yet the materials seem strong and durable. The inside is spacious with straps on one side and a zippered divider on the other to keep clothes securely in place. There are also two large pockets on the divider, one being mesh. All zippers glide smoothly without any catching. It has the standard TSA lock that is easy to open with one hand and the expandable feature is an outstanding addition. However, the wheels are the best feature! They’re almost like an optical illusion. With the design, looking at them from one angle they look square. I’m hoping with the quality construction, they prove to be extra durable and far exceed others on the market withstanding the test of time and abuse they go through at airports when and if checked. I’m not really fond of the blue color, but it’s growing on me and does look classy. My only concern is the adjustable handle. Everything on this suitcase seems durable and solid quality, however the adjustable handle is quite wobbly and seems loose. Read more

The Spyder Rails carry-on is surprisingly clever for a 20-inch suitcase. It’s like the Swiss Army knife of luggage: compact enough to sneak into overhead bins, yet expandable so it magically swells to fit souvenirs, snacks, or that extra pair of shoes you definitely didn’t need. The 360° spinner wheels are basically hover technology in disguise — glide this thing in any direction and you’ll feel like a luggage ninja dodging airports, hotel lobbies, and rogue toddlers. The hardside shell keeps your belongings safe from the world’s most aggressive baggage handlers, and the TSA-approved lock is like a secret handshake for airport security. Plus, the carbon blue finish isn’t just stylish — it’s basically a beacon for lost luggage retrieval, while still looking effortlessly cool. Lightweight, durable, and slightly magical, it makes even the most chaotic travel day feel like a smooth catwalk stroll. Overall, this carry-on is practical, stylish, and downright hilarious in its quiet genius. It’s the tiny travel tank that rolls, spins, and expands on demand, silently judging your overpacking habits while keeping everything safe and making you feel like an international jet-setter.
