useful for many things. Very comfortable to stand or sit on, especially on a cold concrete floor. Easy to clean. They feel warm to bare feet in the winter. Cats like to sharpen their claws on them, which spoils the look but doesn't destroy usefulness. You could lay one of these on top of snow and sit on it and not feel cold underneath. My goats had some to lie on in winter, and they loved them. They broke off the teeth on the edges, but didn't eat them. You can make a safe, clean place for grandbabies to play on the floor. I have used the 100 SF gym mat setup in my basement for 2 years. My teenage kids and their friends wrestle, grapple, and box on it almost on a weekly basis. I grapple mma style (and spar) on it twice a month on average. I set it up over carpet. It is durable, the pieces always stay tightly locked, and it has plenty of cushion for serious grappling kneeling take-downs and pins. I am 5'-11" 180 lbs. and my grappling partner is 6'-2" 195 lbs. It is also nice on the feet for using the heavy-bag. I highly recommend this product! Read more
Excellent product. Only downside is that you will have to leave outside for a few days to completely air out. The chemical smell is very very powerful. Once the product airs out, it holds up and does everything it stated to do. I've even had heavy things sit and dent the matt, after a few days it return back to normal. Read more
I have some of these mats already and was hoping to add to them but they did not hook together, not even close to the same size as my old mats (same brand) this was very disappoinitng! The mats themselves were far from perfect, the border was all over the place plus the grains dont line up and I found what looked like a cigarette burn on one of them.. They are however very good to roll on but had i known they were going to be a different size I would not have purchased them.. Read more

Started training in jiu jitsu since August this year and thought to myself since I'm getting pretty committed to it I should purchase my own mats to practice at the house. Anyway, I purchased the set and couldn't really use them until after a few weeks. When I finally had a chance to lay them down, I was surprised to find that a few of them were not interlocking properly. In addition, one of the mats had a very smooth finish, and not the tatami finish as the other mats have. I didn't go directly to the company given the previous experience we had with the "CEO." He was a total nut job. Very poor customer service, he made it look like we were taking advantage of him and his company. When we received the mats, we asked whether we can order additional mats, not the whole set, but additional ones for another room. He kept on beating around the bush for an explanation of why he couldn't do that. Finally he said it was because of shipping charges and how they do not make any money off of it. It made sense so we declined to pursue it. However, the emails between back and forth with my wife and him are just ridiculous. So instead of calling the company directly, I went to the BBB to complain about the defective mats. GetRung responded directly to me and offered the following solution after I had sent the company pictures of the mats. Surprisingly, the CEO agreed with me. However, his solution is, 1) refund me one mat for 20 bucks and 2) the other defective mats that do not interlock properly to wait until they are broken in (at least up to a year). This was his educated guess. I responded to him and kindly declined. I asked for either a refund on the four defective mats, or replacement. I would be happy to ship the defective mats back but it will not be out of my pocket. The CEO kept going back and forth about how I'm making it difficult for him and how I'm not being reasonable. First off I paid for a product and expect it to perform, if it doesn't do what it says then the company should replace it. No where in their website or packaging states that these have to be "broken-in." As the other review said, prepare for poor service and an arrogant d-bag to deal with you in the event your mats are defective. Read more
Bought these for bjj in my shed. Been doing bjj for 8 years and these are definitely good enough to do some serious rolling with. Would not advise throws though unless you're throwing easy and know how to fall properly. Read more
